Updates for the '63!
Unfortunately, I've been spending way too much time sharing a seat with my ass instead of a wrench with my hand. Finally got some days off of work and school along with the actual motivation to try and get this thing done. I've got to finish up the underside of the hood (heat shield and paint) along with getting the final assembly together for paint. Once the trucks painted here in the next few weeks it's going to the local tire store to have the wheel studs, brake work, and wheels/tires put on. Then it's on to the house for all of the mechanical/finish work and the interior/stereo. But I'm sure that it won't be nearly as quick as that sounds. I've got a stainless flush-mount gas cap on the way from Horkey's and have a few tings that I hope I can get my hands on here soon too.

Seeing the gas tank from the rear is making me think of building a rectangular skid-plate style cover that surrounds it and cleans up the rear cause that tank's just ugly. Or maybe paint it black. I'm ready to get those exhaust tips and rims on there too.

Thanks guys! Glad that you're digging the color.
And 66coffin, the radiator is actually the one that I had with the truck. My gradpa had put it on years ago and when I found it to be in good condition I cleaned off all of it's chipping paint to find a copper finish. Once I found that I just sanded all the old black coating off and did a light clearcoat of Hi-Heat paint.

All your older OEM style radiators are constructed with brass tanks and copper cores. They're usually painted black and or covered in grime.

Got some more work done on the truck. Cut the liner for the underside of the hood to fit where I wanted it but I'm going to wait to attach it until after I am able to finish sanding and painting up the underside.

Finally!
And the part came in too! Ordered it on Friday and in came in this morning. $50 at Horkey's and I must say that it was worth it. Great looking part! It has a small, stainless dogbone-style key so that it is lockable and also includes stainless wood screws.
Should get it installed on Friday or at some point this weekend.
