Re: Project "What was I Thinking" 68 SWB
[QUOTE=Bennett--G4L;5340743]A few pics from last weekend. My brother borrowed a rotisserie from his neighbor, so we made up some brackets and bolted my cab to it.
Project made easy. Should have that cab in great shape in no time. Looks good!

Re: Project "What was I Thinking" 68 SWB
Yeah we have a lot of welding to finish on the floor so we figured this would make it easier to do.

Re: Project "What was I Thinking" 68 SWB
This weekend I scraped 40 years worth of undercoating off the bottom of my cab. I then hit it with a wirewheel to clean it up. Its now ready to finish welding, install my high hump and paint.

Re: Project "What was I Thinking" 68 SWB
Very nice Keith! I'm jealous you have a rotisserie. I would love to have one for what I'm doing on my cab right now. You don't have much rust to deal with huh? You have to love that 40year old under coat! I have been there done that. Keep up the hard work.

Re: Project "What was I Thinking" 68 SWB
I got some stuff done this weekend, On Saturday I worked on sanding and repainting my Porterbuilt Control Arms cause I had some runs . Today I tore the front suspension back apart to install everything. I got everything apart but only managed to get the Drivers Side back together. Still have to install the Porterbuilt Shock Relocators and shocks. Got my bags in there and airline run. Next weekend I will finish up the passenger side and get the rear bags swapped in.

Re: Project "What was I Thinking" 68 SWB
Finished up my Air Ride today. Still need to install my Porterbuilt front shock relocators and awaiting the arrival of a new Porterbuilt front sway bar as my Hotchkis one doesnt work with my Porterbuilt Tubular Arms. No big deal as Nate has the best customer service in the industry and shipped me out one of his right away. Will have plenty of static drop parts up for sale soon. Anyway on to some pics

Re: Project "What was I Thinking" 68 SWB
In the rear i decided to run cups, since i'm still bottomed out on my c-notch even with them. No need to drill thru multiple layers of steel. These just bolted right up. I also plan on sometime in the future reordering my Porterbuilt mild rear dropmember i had to cancel a couple of months back. Once i get the rest of this truck done and on the road, I will go back and redo the rear. By that time I will have the funds to do it.
