Re: Project two tone.
So on Easter afternoon I went an drove the truck...turned the fuel pump on...couple pumps..pulled the choke..few cranks...lit off and ran at a steady 1000 rpm as I had the choke pulled enough to keep it there. Let it sit there for a few minutes...push choke in...good to go. Love that lil engine...for only having 95 pounds of compression and being 48 years old with 147,000 hard earned miles it runs like a champ. Been going easy on it, but couldn't help myself on Easter..so to make the neighbors happy() I did a 3rd gear burnout or dirtout in the field. Wound it up to 4200 a couple times. Lotta fun! And since I have 2 back up engines...no worries right!?!

Re: Project two tone.
So I took the side step box off for the summer. Gonna be doing alot of dirt sifting. I'll be sure to take pictures of the truck with the strange contraption. lol Anyway..I'm on the fence on weather I like the truck with or without the box. Starting to fall toward without the box. Anyway..and some misc pics of my donor truck. It has a some what working radio and a deluxe heater. Perrty neat considering it was a base model.

Re: Project two tone.
I like the cleaner look without the box, but that's just me .
BTW if I end up going completely custom on the dash I have what I think is a fully working radio you could have . Still on the fence about what I'm going to do though . . . It was the highlight of the ride back in highschool. It picked up either conservative and/or church talk radio, or mariachi music. Needless to say I listened to a LOT of mariachi music in high school while driving. |
