Thanks Adam ! The aluminum radiator is by Entropy. It's a 2 row with 1.0" tubes Its the same one thats been discussed in detail on this site. The cooling fans are 11" Spal HP's with a total of 3000cfm. Im not sure of the brand on the catch can, it's a stainless unit that i bought at a show somewhere. Hardlines are 1/4" stainless that i bent myself.

Bowtie468, how do you like your gauge cluster? I bought a rebuilt one from LMC but, I really like the look of the one you have.

Is it hard to wire up? Would you do anything differently if you could?

I'm totally satisfied with the Dakota Digital setup . IMO , the ultimate backlighting color would be Teal . From my conversations with them, they have no plans to make that another color option . So i settled on blue. Wiring and setup are a breeze . The average guy with minimal auto electrical know how shouldn't have trouble. Instructions are pretty thorough .
Bezel was purchased from a board vendor . It's a simple bolt in.

Re: Bowtie468's Extreme '68 BuildPage

finally took the time to get my park lights to come on with the headlights. Seems that Painless omits the needed wire now. If any of you guys installs the Painless Wiring harness (67-72), you will need to do this in order for it to function as original on 69-72 year models and it if want the park lights to be on with the headlights on 67-68 year models.

On this pic you can see the empty terminal slot on the connector. This is terminal #3 on the headlight switch and has voltage present ONLY when the switch is pulled fully out. Also in this pic you can see the terminal marked #7. Corresponds with #7 on the switch and has voltage present only in the middle position and feeds the park lamps.

Re: Bowtie468's Extreme '68 BuildPage

Simply add a jumper between terminals #3 and 7. When the headlights are on, you are feeding power to the park lamp terminal (#7) by means of terminal #3. The painless kit will come with extra terminals making it a breeze to do.
1st pic shows wire for #7 terminal being removed from the plug.
2nd pic shows the terminal location on the switch body.
3rd pic, clip the #7 terminal off the wire and replace with new terminal supplied in the parts kit. before crimping or soldering, add a second wire ( 3-4" long) to the terminal and bring this wire to the empty slot (#3) on the plug. Crimp or solder another terminal on the opposite end before inserting in the slot.

Thank you for the information. I just ordered the same one that you have with the exception that I got the orange back light instead of the blue.

Re: Bowtie468's Extreme '68 BuildPage

Well i've just been playing around with this and that while waiting to get more done on the bedsides. They are presently sitting in Slick Sand awaiting blocking. I got the new door gaskets installed today and these new SoffSeal ones made all the difference. No more slamming the doors. I also machined a blank knob to replace the cigerette lighter and match the ones for the wiper and headlight switches. Its retained in the socket by an o-ring. A little polishing followed by a clear powder coat and it'll be done.
Looks like i'll spend the rest of the week putting sound deadner in the doors and installing the one piece glasses. More to follow as i make noticeable progress.
