Re: Project Platinum C10
Looking good. Yours may be finished before mine lol. I need to call my painter tomorrow and see what's going on. I was hoping to have it back by this weekend so I could put it back together.
Do you know of any powder coaters in our area? |

Re: Project Platinum C10
Extreme Powdercoating in Beaumont. The guy that owns it is named Chris Comalander. I know they do commercial type work and most likely can do what you need. Their number is 409-796-1335. They also have a big plasma cutter if you want something cut out.

Re: Project Platinum C10
Haha, I have thought about a comment you made when I originally put my truck in the shop. The paint shop said 6 - 8 weeks and you said 4 - 6 months. Looks like you are much closer than they are on timing! lol

Not much of an update. A pic of my truck that was sent to me. I didn't have time to get by there today but I'll drop in tomorrow.

Re: Project Platinum C10
Hey guys, I have been incognito for awhile. My truck still isn't finished!!!
I asked for a completion date Friday and they said approx 3 weeks. I've heard that several times before so I'm just hoping to get it back before Christmas, . The windows are being removed today, they said after the windows are removed they plan on priming and block sanding one more time. Tearing the truck down and putting it in the paint booth. On a positive note, I did get my badges in this past weekend though.

I feel your pain. I have been getting the same story but mine has been in longer. Since March. Ouch.

Re: Project Platinum C10
I designed it and sent it to Billet Badges. You can check out their website. They are very very good quality. Solid aluminum polished and powder coated lettering.

Haha, You want to see some paint? How do you think I feel Man the badges are more than I expected. They are domed faced and solid polished aluminum. They come with the 3M adhesive tape stuck on the back. Very Very nice.

Re: Project Platinum C10
That's why it's called "paint jail" and not "paint vacation".

Well it might be paint vacation for the truck but for the owner it's paint jail.

Re: Project Platinum C10
Man that just totally sucks that the paint guy just can't look you in the eye and tell you that in 6 months you will get your truck back.......instead they lie through their freaking teeth so they get the job....A$* Holes.
