Well, we are starting with a rougher canvas than we thought but with the products, advice, and a helping hand from the good folks on this board I am sure we can end up with a pretty sweet ride.

Going to do a little stretch job to the rear wheel tubs. Need a little more clearance for the new wheels and tires.

I'm doing it to a stepside . I should have started with new tubs, would have been less work

Why, were they beat up? I plan on splitting two sets to make one wide set.

A little bit , after taking a hammer and dolly to them they will still end up with a skim coat of filler to make them decent. I used 1" of one tub and 5" of another tub to create them. Leaves me 2 big halves to build a pair of wider tubs for a fleet side. Started with 4 tubs. I cut the steside bed wall and they bolt in like factory.

Talking with Hart_Rod and leaning his experience mine will also need a skim coat. After that I plan to coat them in bed liner.

So I spent the day getting my butt kicked by these wheel tubs, I did make some progress. didn't widen the a lot, just 1.5" to give the tires more room. Next time I have some garage time I will figure out how I'm going to handle the bed floor...

After that I will bolt it all together and weld it up.

I like them too... but it will be about balancing the amount of white in the cab so I won't rule out a gauge with a black face.

Tubs looks good Buck..Gauges are nice too...One suggestion would be if your keeping the blue interior then i would do white face with blue numbers and needles!

Thanks for the good words and the idea for the gauges, we'll keep it in mind!

Got to work in the garage some today, cut the bed floor and welded up the tubs. Still need to grind the welds and then I think I may have a guy I know pop a mold off of them. If people are interested in buying stretched wheel tubs I may be able to help them out... make it easy for them.

Sorry some of the pics are crappy it was about 0100 when I finished and came in.
