Re: Project: Turbo 250

Well finished wet sanding this morning and shot the BC/CC this afternoon. Went with the OEM Fawn Metallic and Midnight Fawn Metallic (top of dash to prevent reflection on windshield). Turned out really nice, two small runs in the flat clear but those will buff out fine.

Thanks! It can be done, I am still on track to be done in 9 months start to finish, and I have taken a total of 3 months off so far in the build due to my clinical rotations.

It really does reflect so many different colors and highlights of blue in every different light!

When I first seen this blue at the chicago auto show it caught my eye from about 100 yards away! I knew right then I had to use it!

Don't say that! You'll be working on this thing for the better part of another decade.

Sorry Mike. Couldn't resist.

Congrats on getting some color on it.

It sits like that because it lays the crossmember in the front but I did not notch the rear due to frame strength with the gooseneck hitch in the rear. I do like a little rake to the truck though I think it gives it a more aggressive look!

I had to step back a few times today while I was putting the rear bumper and hitch on and finish bending the brake lines to the new master cylinder. It really made me feel like I was accomplishing something finally.

Re: Project: Turbo 250

Dude! Looking awesome! That blue is awesome man. Did you already get the bed fixed? Or did I miss that? And I was wondering if you were gonna do the top of the cab white or another color, or leave it blue? Good job though man.

Re: Project: Turbo 250

Thanks Raymond, I started fixing the bed by popping out the large dents and the bending the fender sides back out, but most of it is the angle of the lighting on the shots so you cant see the damage And I am keeping the whole truck blue. I might run a couple of fine lines of pin stripping but that would be about it.
