Yes, the truck is original paint, so its the factory color. I don't know what the paint code is offhand, but maybe someone here does?

Sweet, I love it. What paint are you using for the engine? Havent seen engine paint that color before? Regular car/truck exterior paint?

Just read through your build thread. Really love what your doing with this truck and as others have stated I really like the color too. Can't wait to see it layed out on the wheels.

Its just regular car paint. It lasts surprisingly well, even when subjected to engine heat.

Re: Crushing Gumby 71 Shortbed Patina build
Thanks a lot guys, Im glad you like the build so far. Lots of things have been happening, some on Gumby, others on the 65 which Im calling the Albatross and now I have a new project that Truckmanloco and I picked up.
First Gumby, Hood hinges are on and look great! And here is an updated shot of the Albatross with its stock wheels painted, new tires, new caps and more cleaning. As you can tell, Im having a hard time letting it go... And lastly, here is the new truck we picked up. 67 SWB BBW all original paint 2 owner truck! First on the agenda today for it is a polish up and detail. Runs like a champ and zero rust anywhere! So what do you guys think?

Re: Crushing Gumby 71 Shortbed Patina build
Thanks Keith, glad you like it buddy. Here are a few pics of the 65s interior since I never posted any...
The price on the 65 is 15K. Im doing new brake shoes, springs, and wheel bearings all around this week and that should finish it off. Also going on is a mint original undented front grille to replace the dented on on there now. If anyone is interested, just drop me a PM. Its a great truck by the way!

Re: Crushing Gumby 71 Shortbed Patina build
Yeh man I wish the wheels were on there so I can show everyone, but not yet. Soon, soon.... Right now I have my hands full with the projects you see and some I can't show you yet, so a trip to Delmo's place is not coming this week, but I imagine this month at some time... Hang in there!

I just read this entire thread and your 71 is crazy nice! That 65's interior is really cool too. If you don't mind, What is the color sprayed on dash and doors of the 65?

Re: Crushing Gumby 71 Shortbed Patina build
Right on, glad you like it! The color inside the 65 is very close to House of Color Copper but with much less metallic. I think it compliments the exterior color pretty well don't you?

Re: Crushing Gumby 71 Shortbed Patina build
Well its been a very busy 2 weeks and I have not had the spare time I wanted to get the 65 listed. I work on a tv show and we are in crunch time at the moment but I finally got the few hours I wanted to finish off the truck and make an ad. Here it is all finished.
I think it came out pretty good. Here is the link to the auction as well http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Chevr...#ht_500wt_1182 And feel free to buy some earrings for your wives as well from me
