Thank you sir. It's going to be hinged so I have access to it but I wanted it hidden. It sits too low to put most tanks anywhere else. Might have been able to get a long skinny one on a side rail.

Re: Free Candy Inside: 63 Long Panel Build

Worked in the top of the tranny tunnel today. Had to factor cup holders in because a truck without one is annoying.

Amazing what bead rolling will do for strength and also appearance. I decided to completely remake the left panel but here's a comparison pic anyways.

And here's how it turned out. Not too hateful. Need to be sponsored by Dewalt flap wheels...... Forgot how bad Miller Lite tasted.

Had to get some other stuff in the garage so I pulled the truck out. For some reason it looks like a toy to me.

Got up today and headed to Kentucky Speedway for the Mario Andretti Experience. Got to drive an Indy car around the track. Hit 160.88mph. Good times.

Re: Free Candy Inside: 63 Long Panel Build

Went on a little vacation so no work got done on the truck. Home for 6 days then going on vacation again for another 7 so I need to knock some stuff out.... But I didn't feel like metal work today so I went electrical. I upgraded from the switchbox that I made (which was fine) to an AVS 7 switch controller. Just to give me more control of the truck. Also started trying to get all my dash done. Working on making the digital speedo fit and work in my 63 cluster without buying a $400 adapter. Take some pics tomorrow and get back on some metal work.

Hopefully I can get it all installed possibly even tomorrow. Decided to cruise the truck some since it finally wasn't raining.

Awesome build.

Quick question...do you have any pictures of the channel you did on the cab? I didn't see any going through the thread.

Sorry I don't have too many. I basically cut everything out and just built my own. None of the floor uses any of the factory floor pan. I could probably get a pic of the door open so you can see how high my floors are. They kind of look like the 55-59 floors how they step up. I really only had to modify the cab. The rest of the panel actually stepped up behind the drivers seat factory. Here's a pic of what I got done today.

I cut out the top of the tranny tunnel and redid it because it was quilt pattern and nothing else in the truck was. I also filled in the triangle piece, and the piece behind the drivers seat. Also got the passenger kick panel done.

thats a huge beech! (the elm tree is pretty big too!)

c60s cost too much to register here in ks, something about the GVWR and the wheel size, you have to have it printed on the door over a certain weight and insurance costs a mint. good job saving that one! too many nice ones get crushed around here because of the registration and insurance.

I have heard that from a few people. I havent actually called to put insurance on it yet. I actually put it up for sale since I'm afraid it might be more of a project than what I wanted. If I decide to keep it, I might just put the cab over on the another frame with a more drivable drivetrain.

Thanks. Haven't made much progress on it. Been driving it daily since July. Having more fun driving it then building it. Lol. Here's a recent pic fueling up.
