Re: Jans 53
It looks like you have a good structure. On my 48 I have a raised floor and I never trusted the support structure to haul kids/people in the back. That was always on of the regrets with that build.
Looking good. Marc

Re: Jans 53
Great work and I love the structure! I especially like the ingenuity and problem solving efforts. Looking forward to seeing it installed for a test. Also, the bodywork looks really nice - that will be a sweet truck!

Re: Jans 53
Member jocww came to town and visited with my husband and I for the day. It was nice to go for a ride in his awesome truck! Very motivating for me to get my truck done!
Lots of good information on things we would have done different and things we would do the same. Our trucks are similar in horse power so it answered some questions I had about if I wanted more ponies or not.....it ends up I do not need more. (At least not yet).

If you have any questions about Fitech or Sniper don't hesitate to contact me. I know more now than I really ever wanted to know about both. I would do the Sniper again in a heartbeat.

Re: Jans 53
Its easy to get that much shine out of primer (NOT). That is one smooth base for the that upcoming paint job...well done.

Re: Jans 53
Well, you're WORKING on a chevy. Besides, the tow operators have a nice long clear area to work in when they bring the F**d back home if you decide to use it.
The nice thing about driving a F**d is that you dont have to worry about how your hair looks. You'll be wearing that paper bag over your head when you go out so nobody knows it's you driving. Nice job on the truck. Keep plugging away and you'll be done. |

Re: Jans 53
Lol, I went and got myself sidetracked with those damn bed hinges and now my husband is having both hips replaced this Wednesday. So it might be another week or two....NOT !
Been following your build and it turned out great! I get excited every time someone gets their truck going it puts a little wind in my sail.

Re: Jans 53
Buddy had both done and was walking that day. So I'm wishing you both good luck on the hips. Life takes precedence.

Re: Jans 53
Ouch...Hip replacement(s) sounds much more painful than a long truck build. Almost as expensive tho...Jk Now I know why you are selling all of those hinge kits. To pay for a couple of hips.
Wishing your husband a speedy recovery. Marc
