Well a couple days ago, removed the lettering, and cleaned up the bedsides. Now I need a bed to match, my apologies if these come out upside down: (Fixed)

Re: What did you do yo your truck today??

Installed some new door speakers since I'm converting my 95 to become my daily. Replaced the oil cooler lines, ordered some glass headlights to replace the dinged plastic ones. I'm looking into putting a newer center console in so I can have a proper set of cup holders.

Re: What did you do yo your truck today??

Truck got its second set of new shoes, a pair of the new BFG AT KO2s. They are stock size, LT245/75R16s. Now the fronts have a week and about 200 miles on them. Pics to come later. I'm planning on doing a mild build shortly.

Re: What did you do yo your truck today??

Curious to what was causing the no heat problem. When I bought mine it had high speed only for the blower and I replaced the resistor. The heat was weak but that was due to a bad thermostat. Changing the thermostat let the engine idle lower and get much better mileage also. I think the computer was staying on cold engine tune.

Re: What did you do yo your truck today??

I need to take blame for not checking the truck over when I bought it. So far I replaced the thermostat ( old one had the center beaten out of it ), flushed the heater lines and at that point it was almost passed winter and forgot about it. Fast forward to this winter and first real cold snap, I remember that I have no heat, not to mention no a/c ( another story ). Well air would only blow out of the defrost vents, so I assumed ( first mistake ) that I had a defective blend door actuator. Well finally had enough one weekend and actually took things apart to check and found all of the control wiring was not connected to the heater controls and the dash was really broken up. So I decided to replace the dash ( change colors ) and look into the heat problem. When I removed the dash I found that all of the blend motors were disconnected and the heater box was cut up. I repaired the heater box today and still have a lot to do find out what else is missing. So I cannot blame the person I bought it from as I diddle around for a year before I tore into it. Live and learn.

Re: What did you do yo your truck today??

While you have it apart check the seal between the cowl and the heater . Pour water onto the cowl vent on the passenger side and see if any drains into the blower motor area. My truck came from Arizona and the foam seal deteriorated causing a leak. Rather than pull the dash and heater I just covered the air inlet cutout on the passenger side. I still get plenty of air from the cutouts on the drivers side and all the water goes down the left side now. No leaks.

Re: What did you do yo your truck today??

Pulled the intake on the Tahoe to find a couple issues - the front and back of the intake was seeping (especially the front) and the driver side gasket failed in the front which was the main source of my leak. The coolant was actually working it's way up the bolt and leaking. The PO or his mechanic used the old style plastic Fel Pro gaskets = no bueno. I am also going to update the spider injection while I got it apart.

Re: What did you do yo your truck today??

I got to replace the quick connect adaptor that connects the heater hose to the intake manifold. Not a fun job but I managed to remove the broken part without trashing the threads. Still running hot I must have cooked the thermostat when I lost the coolant. Gives me something to do in the AM.

Cleaned the '95 up on the inside and gave it a good vacuum. Found out it's going to need all new ball joints here soon what fun I can't wait. Other then that not much truck related hung out with the family and girlyfriend.

Nice, just don't follow me at night. But seriously when upgrading your headlights check the alignment as they can be blinding to others.

I finally got the 2" lift blocks mounted in the back, finishing off the 4" lift kit. I also found a dirt cheap topper to run in the winter…

Re: What did you do yo your truck today??

New rotor, cap, plugs, wires, and distributor. Turns out all those were original with 158,000 miles. New starter and battery too. The antifreeze got replaced when the bypass hose blew. Ready for winter!
