The tire size is 265/70-17's The truck almost looks like stock hight again with the big tires. It has a 3 inch drop in front and a 2 inch drop in back... Looks kinda stock to me... JRBECK64 |

Re: 67 Shortwide Resto
There are a lot of people who need to be Mentioned in this build that I would like to thank for their support in making it happen. I would like to Start out with WES at Classic Heartbeat in Olympia WA who has been more than patient with me and all my Indecision when it comes to parts I need. He also helped me in many Technical aspects of the build as well. He said he didn't mind talking with me for all my Extended Phone Conversations but I know he's a pretty busy guy so I just wanted to let him know I appreciate his Patients with me. I would also like to Thank Jim at Quality Paint Products in Hillsboro Oregon for all his help with paint and bodywork questions I have ran into. I should probably mention FRIZZLE FRY being that I bought this truck from him in the first place but the only thing left of it is the Frame. I would also like to thank The guys I got the Bed from in Lubbock Texas but I cant remember their Screen Name anyway his name is Paul Duncan... Its a great bed and I couldnt have asked for a better resto platform than it. I would have to also thank My Neighbor Frank Richards for all his help in finding parts at All American Wrecking Yard in Vancouver WA. I would aslo like to thank all the people who have posted to my Build Thread, its great having some support when doing this kind of a project. I have dealt with the death of my 15 Year Old Dog Judge who spent many a day laying under the truck with me who I wish was still here. I also dealt with Sickness in my Family (Mom) who is suffering with Dimentia. The great part about this truck is she loves to see pictures of it and it makes me happy that I can bring her some joy even with what she is dealing with. Anyway I am going to put a couple of before and after pictures on this post so people can see where it started and where its ended up. I need to also say thanks to my Wife and Family for supporting me and Helping me with my hobbie. Its great having a supportive Family...

Re: 67 Shortwide Resto
so clean I've always wanted to do an early 67 or 68 with the lower molding and a silver and blue similar to this. Should be an awesome run around truck congrats on gettin the c/10 monkey off your back xD we all know it'll be worth the headaches someday eh?

Re: 67 Shortwide Resto
Put the Front end Moldings on so here are few pictures. They got my Blood Pressure elevated a few times but it all worked out in the end...
JRBECK64 Sometimes I think Im workin backwards on this truck. Got the Tach working (found out the Ignition box was bad along with the tach). Installed the new gears on the tailshaft of the tranny to get the speedo dialed in, now Im waiting on the Intermittent Wiper Switch and Relays to show up so I can wire it all in... Im hoping this weekend to have the Truck back on the road... Still need to get the interior back from the upholster and get it installed. Its getting close to needing a Stereo and Nav and bluetooth and all the goodies... |

Re: 67 Shortwide Resto
Finished putting the door panels together and put the Dash pad in. With the Vintage Air Underdash Unit in there it was almost impossible to get all the Nutz on the Dash Pad but I out lasted it... Here are a few pictures...

Re: 67 Shortwide Resto
Here are a few pictures of the truck in its almost finished state. The only two things Im going to do is one last buff to get the Swirl Marks out of the paint and get the Stereo installed... Oh yeah and mount a Box Chest in the front of the bed for storage and install a mount in the bed to hold the spare tire... Sure I have one more thing to do!!!!LOL JRBECK64 I should have named this (project 67 never done)!!!! |
