Re: What did you do to your truck today part II.

Took some time off work and started my spring tinkering on my 63. Put on my new chrome side mirrors. Shout out to the forum for locating the holes for the passenger side. Perfectly aligned for a full view of the mirror.

Re: What did you do to your truck today part II.

Popped over to mate Martin early morning to help him swop over his "new" patina, rustfree hood, then a haircut at 11.00 and home by 11.30 at which time I brought the truck out of the garage up to the house for a wash and prep for Easter weekend, which will see much truck time including two days on display with the Teardrop trailer.
When Nicola came home from seeing her dad, I washed and cleaned her Mazda MX5 Miata.

Then we took the truck out for a ride into the local farmers fields and also down to the Isle of Grain where she took some pics.

Thought I would post up a bunch of photo's Nicola took today.

I washed the truck and got it ready for Wheels day, and the Chatham Steam and Traction Festival over Easter weekend.

One of my favourites.

The sky was really good as well.

Clever camera.

Out on the Isle of Grain.

After Easter the teardown will start.

Ohhhh, and I recorded the sound of the truck, Nicola operating the camera.

Free entry tickets in the post today as well..... that is good

Re: What did you do to your truck today part II.

Do they have blinkers or for high speed control? LOL. Also did you get curb feelers? Do they sell deer whistles too? Anymore old man joke that coinside? Only the left works from miles on end? I remember the blinkers on the hood though. Some one mentioned friends helping others. I have family in McMinville Oregon. I could come in and black out the rest of the cab. Or come to Vegas for some ideas.

I'm waaay to young for the old man jokes. And yes..they did have actual blinker lights in them..I took them out cause of the position there in..no one would see them except me..and I'll no my blinkers are working by the green lights in the dash....I think. If you wanna paint my cab black by all means! LOL! It'll save me time!!!!

Re: What did you do to your truck today part II.

That was the point. 10 foot down the Hood you could see the blinker on. No room for tach... put it on the Hood. I would hook 'em up since they are there. One light original blinked for me. Now the trucker switch Blinks on its own sometimes and MPH is rpm or sight //feel.

Re: What did you do to your truck today part II.

Yesterday actually, but got out down to my friends shop and swap out the rear axles, spiders, and drums to 5 hole. He had some 5 ralley wheels with wheels on them, so just put them on for now to roll her around. Next project, spindles and discs.

Re: What did you do to your truck today part II.

Finally got around to painting the wheels I got from sigshooter and got them installed today. Such an improvement over those nasty rusted out Progressive wheels that were on it!
