Re: 1967 C10 Urban Retro
I need help! The only outside emblem, I left was the CHEVROLET Letter on the hood. Unfortunately the holes seem smaller or missing do to possible bondo and body work. Can anyone give me any pointers or a template to ensure correct placement on the letters. I know I may have to put tape on the holes and re drill them. The question I have, does all the letters come with 2 holes? I searched the forum, but no luck...

Re: 1967 C10 Urban Retro
Another guy posted a picture for me in the question forum. I really need a template made. Would you be willing to make me a template lined from the bottom of the hood matching the holes. I would be willing to send you the postage. I figure with the remaining holes that I have left I can get a pretty good fit to drill the holes out. I'm innocent super rush! I won't be finished til summer.

Re: 1967 C10 Urban Retro
For sure. I can do it in poster board and punch each hole. That way if you have a few you can line them up. Pm me your address, not worried about postage

Amen to that! Number 3 graduates this year, then number 4 graduates 2 years after that, then I'm touring my Country instead of other people's countries.

Re: 1967 C10 Urban Retro
Was out of town training all week. Decided to install the carpert and back cab and install my seats. I searched the forum to find the best adhesives and ideas for installation. I saw one thread about Velcro on the back can! Works terriffic!

Re: 1967 C10 Urban Retro
After applying the Velcro to the cab, I then applied the fabric to the cab, I then removed the sticky part of the fabric and massaged the carpert on allowing the adhesive to adhere to the carpet for exact placement of both pieces once I was confident that the adhesive was on, I pulled the carpet to Confirm

Re: 1967 C10 Urban Retro
I also took some ideas from guys on the forum. Once I glued my carpet down ensuring where all my holes must go. I took a propane torch heated up a small screwdriver and stuck the driver from underneath and worked around melted the ends of the fabric. Nice clean and no frails! I also did this for the sill holes. I also saw that some used a soldier. I also took the torch and melted the ends of the carpet where I had cut as well.

My Dakota Digital Dash was delivered twice while I was out of town! Needed a signature. I tried to have them live it at the facility and pick it up today. Unfortunately no one took it off the truck! have to wait til Monday to get it. Fortunately the UPS Hub is down the street from my job!

Re: 1967 C10 Urban Retro
Thanks Brian! I need to buy some lock rods for my doors. LMC sells a complete kit and I just need the the lock rods. My passenger window is not rolling down smooth like my passenger. I may have to change out regulators... I have a extra one. I just dread taking that window back out! It was a choir installing them. After all that I can finally put my panels on hopefully. I found the original glove box door too! I think I going to get it painted when I take my truck to be touched up to match my truck. I initially planned on a chrome one, but I'm considering to just go with paint, because my door panels are all chrome and my steering column. Haven't made up my mind yet..

Re: 1967 C10 Urban Retro
Ordered my stainless steel brake line kit from POL (Performance Online). So my brake set should be complete with that order. I directed my focus on my fuel line next. I've had my tank and my 3/8 inch stainless tubing since the beginning of the build. I've always been a little intimidated with bending and flaring the lines. Fortunately I was admiring RRC build thread when I came upon his fuel line installation. After asking him a few questions and Russ leading me in the right direction. I educated myself on AN fittings and copied his carb to pump installed that Edlebrok/Russell sale as a kit. He also informed me that I could buy an AN fitting instead of doing a flare. I purchased the Proclassic Carb to Pump Hose Kit/with Filter, Edelbrock's ProFilter which has threaded ends that I will splice under the chassis for a double filter application. I also purchased a Fuel Pressure Guage that I will install on the Edelbrock L Carb Hard Line that the hose kit will also connect to and an assortment of AN Fittings, hopefully my goodies will be here by the end of the week! Good thing is! I can go pick up my Dakota Digital Dash first thing in the morning from the UPS Hub!

Is that chrome or Edlebrock Endurashine? This is a really nice build, and hopefully I can make a daytrip up there to see it in person!

Just read your build thread, truck is sweet. I could help you with the hood letter template and live in Bartlesville, I drive to Broken Arrow to Tulsa Tech campus to work each day. Hope you get it done for the show.
