Re: How about some pics of '73-'87 Short Beds Part II
Just Picked this one up at a local swap meet a couple weeks ago, been sitting beside a shed for 13 years! still fires up without issue, Factory Big Ten shortbed Stepside with Factory buckets/Console! Just did plugs/wires, valve covers, air filter, oil change and master cylinder, a little more brake work and new tires, and she'll be my daily! eventually lower it 4/5 too

Re: How about some pics of '73-'87 Short Beds Part II
been on the look-out for a clean short box square and I settled on this '77 https://www.flickr.com/photos/lammergeier/17053200256/
stripper model, no AC, 250-six, 3 on the tree, manual everything. minimal rust, mostly in the rockers like usual. looks like someone lowered it a bit, but I dont know how or how much. eventually it'll get a chinese turbo'd 5.3/4l80e. Just waiting for the time and a good deal on a converter. |

Re: How about some pics of '73-'87 Short Beds Part II
Work in progress. 86 C10 388 Stroker w/built Turbo 350 (Swapping out to LS 6.0 Currently. Will post pics when finished) Procar seats with 2003 chevy center jump seat. Vision 143 Legend series 20x8.5 Wheels 4 1/2" back space wrapped in Goodyear eagle 255/45/R20's Wheels purchased through Discount tire for $150 each. Tires were a bit more pricy.
Plan to go to full phanton front grille, black dash pad as mine is split down the center on top, black arm rest pads, mirrors, and door panel inserts. And the all important locker for the rear end, with disc brake conversion. |

Re: How about some pics of '73-'87 Short Beds Part II
It's a 5/7 drop..front is 2.5 spindles, 2.5 spring...rear is flip kit and 2in drop shackles. Put drop shocks all the way around but ended up with too short of a rear shock so bought shock mount extentions. I have a c-notch kit I have yet to install...has plenty of travel with a empty bed. Ended up putting a shorter front tire due to scrubbing. Went with a 245/60 and it solved the problem. Rears will soon be 15x10 with a 275/60

BTW regarding the posts a few after yours: it's YOUR truck, it's YOUR money so build it for yourself the way you like it. Everyone else with negative comments can go "drive" themselves.
