Went to the salvage yard today and got a grill support that was in better shape then mine. Also I wanting to get power steering stuff, I found a bunch of the power steering pumps but not very many reservoirs with only a v belt pully. I also meet to get that bracket from captainfab. Which set up would be better for my application or are they all pretty much the same?

The one for the v8 but your running a serpentine belt. There might be some differences to look into.

Well with the Gilmer drive set up it has a spot for a v belt on the bottom pully to go to a power steering resivior. So do I just get any set up that has a v groove pully then just get the correctmounting bracket? Are the puns about al the same too iike 70-87 chevys or so.

If you mount the power steering pump up to the block and the pulley lines up with the crank groove I don't see any problem. The pump should be adjustable to tighten the belt.
Like that crank pulley.

So I finally got brothers to send me the correct nuts for my inner tie rods. But when I took one side off to put the new nut on it by the sleeve but when I went to put the nut on the end that goes threw the steering cross bar or what ever it's called. But here's ny problem, bothr tie rods turn when I'm trying to take the not off one side and put it on Tue other side. There brand new, well never been driven. Bought new.any suggestions on what to do in this situation? Thanks

I bought an after market power steering bracket for mine, I also have the gilmer belt drive like you have! do you have a long water pump or a short water pump? thats what kind of brackets you will have to buy, I went with a key way pump cause I found the aftermarket v groove pulley was cheap then the press fit

The threads look a little damaged at the beginning I think I'm going to cut the one nut off so I will have both tie rods off the truck and try rethreading them.

save every piece of that truck and start buying parts now cuz its getting harder to find them at a cheap price also educated urself of workings cuz some parts can be tricky getn off and on while building and pack ur patience

I need to get some different plug wires though. In some spots the wires are right up against the headers. Next I'm getting the electric cutouts. Should be Awesome. It will be nice to just flip a switch and go to the gnarly roar of open headers.

Learning as I go but I'm going with a new steering column shift so I guess I'll get what I need from there unless you know somethen that could help me out. Like I said just learning as I go.

Went cruisen the coast in biloxi this weekend and got some prettys! Oil dipstick to match trans dipstick, air breather, valve covers and the little breathers for the valve covers. Still need to do a little polishing but just wanted to share.
