8 - 10/32 button heads with a harbor freight tie down for handle. Will have remote posts for charging and jumping.

The idea was stolen from Kabwe! He just used a original style 47-54, but they are expensive and I need 2 of them.

Re: 1959 Fleetside REBORN

i missed your post where you miss sliced the ham
nice work on the cab stretch, i so wish i had done that
figured it would add a yr to my 8 yr build

i met this guy 2 yrs ago on the hrpt, his front doors were stretched 6''
he also pancaked the roof 2'', not suggesting you do that (do it, do it )

Re: 1959 Fleetside REBORN

Well we're back! Been busy. So here we are today to update. We got the 2005 Silverado seats to fit. Mounts made and seat bolted and operational. Finishing the trans tunnel and driver side floor to mount steering and reposition the brake pedal.

Well we got the shifter to work, 4L60 to work on a 6L90 transmission. Not hard, just a lot of adjustments and making your own bracket. Added 2 pieces of 1/8" plate to the bottom of the tunnel to stiffen the tunnel from flexing.

Re: 1959 Fleetside REBORN

We started the steering linkage today and we need to move the brake pedal 2" to the left. Has anyone bent there Master cylinder brake lever before? If so, HOW?

Re: 1959 Fleetside REBORN

We started Saturday off hanging the driver door, getting the gap at the leading edge. Also a lot of measurements. After I got the nerve to cut on 2 good doors, no rot at the bottom of doors. First door cut, then the second. Then came two hours of tap, measure, grind and repeat.

Tony, I started the dash mods on page 4. You can start there and if you have questions still. Please ask, Mike. There is also a link on page 4 for ChuckDrivers 1957 he put in the impala dash also.
