Hmmm, Bought them a while back, but pretty sure that I got them from LMC.
Note: You need to be real careful when applying them with contact cement, because if you position them wrong, you will not get them off without destroying them!

I'm tryin to streamline the fabrication process. As it stands, they would be pretty pricey based on how long it takes to make them.

If you were running air bags, then control switches would be my guess. No matter what though, they will match your heater controls, and look cool as hell !!!

Seriously, I think that everyone should PM me with what they would realistically spend if these items became available....Then I could better decide if they are worth producing, or not.

One truck catalog lists the lever knobs at $12.44 list, $9.95 sale.
Ash tray knob $6.19 list, $4.95 sale.

You figure 20% to 50% mark up for them being custom and aluminum would probably be in the more than fair bracket.
Not sure how much time you have invested, or how much materiels cost, but probably in that ball park pretty easily.

I know you said to PM you, but I thought the rationale was worth sharing.
Me personally, and because it is to support a friend, I would pay upwards of $20-$30 for a set (plus shipping).

I would sure like to hear what your average offer turns out to be though !!

I would probaby pay more just because I know the amount of time it takes to make small projects like this, and I dont have the equipment to do so, so having said that I think that if you were to sell the whole set heater knobs and ashtray knob as a set I would pay $50 to $75. also there are other knobs in the truck that could be made to make a complete package and round out the whole truck with custom knobs. If you look in any of the catalogs you will see that most of them sell their knobs (head light knobs) and others for around $10 each and we all know that they are plastic and they will at some point crack and twist off. So again having said that I think that aluminum knobs are worth more and will last the life of the truck. This is just my opion, but I would not do all that work just for 20 to 30 its just not bussiness smart. The only way I would consider lowering the price is if I could figure out a way to mass produce them so that they wouldnt cost as much to produce. In california a machinest gets around a $150 hour to fab items like this. Again this is just my opion...........If you do produce them I will buy a set.

thats about around the same price i was thinking, i seen aluminum dash knobs on $ebay for $10 each, and these are just made for are year trucks! i like the idea about the other knobs i seen these for the dash http://www.boeseengineering.com/deta...oduct_id=9700P

I'm with everyone else except a couple of other points. The other posters had some good points.. Especially the package deal on all knobs! I hate stuff that does not match when doing builds like these.

i too like the idea of matching up all the knobs, but what a hugh amount of work to make. billet stuff is cool but once you start the look, you want to keep adding pieces. most of the dash knobs are similar except the wiper/washer knob.
seems like i remember generic window and door handles that were billet and would fit... there may already be some dash knobs out there from rod and custom vendors.

i would also like a set of heater and ashtray knobs, they are really nice.
$75-$100... all polished out... seems real fair.
