Re: 1963 C-10 in NC
Well bud, right after I got done working with the truck(sifting dirt, moving it ect) it started raining so I quickly washed it and threw the tarp on. It's supposed to stop this coming week sometime so I will try to get those measurements for you. Sorry about the wait! T.J.

Re: 1963 C-10 in NC
Im in no rush, so take your time. Im really considering pulling the front cross member out of the 64 frame that I'm cutting down for my matching trailer project and building it up and swapping it out.

Re: 1963 C-10 in NC
OK, so sway bar is now prepped and painted. New bushings in place, new mounts here...so I'll go pick up some new grade 8 bolts today to top it off. Should be ready to install soon.

Re: 1963 C-10 in NC
one thing I noticed on my 79 when I bought it compared to my 96 z71 was I have bumpstops and coil springs underneath the bed welded onto the axle. Thatll prolly help with the weight distribution. I can see if I can snap a pic for you if Jon doesn't mind.

Re: 1963 C-10 in NC
The reason I wanted sway bars the the handling but since the truck is mostly used for off road work I'm not worried about it yet till I get it fully driveable and paint it. Once the paint is on it will no longer be a Farm truck.

Re: 1963 C-10 in NC
That'll just give you a valid excuse to get another truck!!!!

Re: 1963 C-10 in NC
Yeah, but do you really need an excuse to by another truck? I can always use another truck....just don't need. But thats my big problem...wants before needs sometimes. Id like to do a 63 burb or a one ton dually as my next project...or a crew cab is high up there too.

Re: 1963 C-10 in NC
Here you go aerotruk63. This is the litter bin that I have. I have the underdash mounted litter container also. I put it in the truck sometimes, cruise ins and such...really a pain if you have a passenger in the middle and may even get moved to the passenger side like yours is if I have shifter clearance issues (don't anticipate). This one mounts on the transmission hump...just rests there held in place by the sand bags.

Re: 1963 C-10 in NC
Also have the 2 speed wiper w/washer ready to install. Just have to figure out the wiring on the white & pink wires. The plug should go to the switch and the single white wire on the back of the switch should move from the one post to the single post on the back of the 2 speed switch. Any help is appreciated.
Will be nice to have two speeds and the washer option.

Re: 1963 C-10 in NC
No....my original 63 I had when I was 16 (family got it when I was 10 or 11), had the two speed wiper (non washer) and it worked fine for me then, so it'll probably be ok now too. If not, I can always add it later. Anything will be an upgrade from the single wiper speed now.

Re: 1963 C-10 in NC
Been doing more night driving and that makes the standard rear view mirror no good with all the glare I get. I only see hood, so I found an OEM day/night mirror that was an early take off in great shape that will be going on.
Hoping this solves the issue...will keep you posted. Also have anew master cylinder to install once the rain stops...

Re: 1963 C-10 in NC
Alright finally got some measures here. They are crappy but as good as I could do holding a cam and measuring tape at the same time. 1st picture is the distance of the lowest hole from the tip of the coil.
