Re: Whose on Steelies? Post 'em up!
Todd68chevy,
Thanks for sharing the pictures of your 68 hubs with everyone. You said they have been repainted the original colors. I have a complete set of hubs for a 1968 C10 that I am restoring. Can you provide me with the paint brand and colors you used? guy58 |

Thanks Longhorn and Sicklajoie. I was afraid of that. Means it'll be a little harder to find some caps, I guess. Anyways, pics of my steelies:

Re: Whose on Steelies? Post 'em up!
Thanks. Bought it Monday last week. What was really sweet was the price. $800. Thats WITH the original 307 in it, in running condition. I need a bed for it...not really thrilled about the stakebed.

Re: Whose on Steelies? Post 'em up!
I would love to take it to a cruise in, but that won't be happening until I get the trans swapped out. The syncros in the 3-speed are acting up, or at least thats what I'm told. On my drive home with it the night I bought it, I had to down shift when climbing a hill. After I got going downhill, all three gears acted like they were 1st. Have another Saginaw 3 speed on the way thanks to ebay though. That and a tune-up and she should be ready to roll.

Re: Whose on Steelies? Post 'em up!
Has anyone run the '90s Caprice cop car wheels? They are 5 0n 5 with small round holes...maybe 18 or so. If I wanted something different that's what I'd do,with '90s truck centers. Sorry,no picks.

Re: Whose on Steelies? Post 'em up!
I actually worded that wrong. What I was meaning was where the black is and where the silver is are the style or pattern they were originally. The actual paint color is not correct. The silver is not bright enough for what was on them. I am sorry but I do not know the actual correct colors. I bet if you start a new tread with that question, someone knows the correct answer for you. Sorry I could not help. I love the look of them but I do wish they had the right colors on them. Thanks, Todd

Here is what's on my 1970 K10, not sure I care for them since I prefer the original whites. Who knows, they may grow on me.
