Excellent work Kim. I would use spherical rod ends.

I'm leaning toward them as they will give me a real fine adjustment on the hood position.
In reality the cost for the size I need isn't that great.

Thanks FFredo.
I get a lot of inspiration from all the builds on this site so I'm glad I can return the favor.

Re: My 57 Pro Street

Got a little more done on the hood.
I made the brackets for the rollers that will hold the hood in the rear.
I got the rollers at pic a part for $5.00. They're out of a BMW.
I wanted to use them as they were but they were to short so I made some new brackets.
The pics tell the story of how I did it.
I used some 3/16 plate . A little cutting and I have 2 new brackets.

Re: My 57 Pro Street

A little more trimming and welding and I have my brackets.
The next step is to bend some 3/8 rod to use as the runners.
I'm still trying to figure out the easiest way to do that.

Re: My 57 Pro Street

Very cool! NICE fab work, Kim!

If they don't make it, or you're too cheap to buy it, then make it yourself. Most of the time, it always turns out nicer anyway, and you can't beat the price!

I have about ten pair in the garage. It's where all of my readers end up once they get a scratch in them.
Makes it easy to find a pair near by.
