They did not last long, they started to come off about a year later. If you have a shop in town that does Decals for businesses ?.... you might be able to get them to make a custom set. Around here there is a shop (not sure who it is) because I see quite a few trucks with these stripes "personalized" I will have to show the "flame" pin stripe on it now, I get allot of "where did you get the pin stripe" questions on that too. |

Re: How about some pics of 88-98 Part II
Hey all. I am new here. Here is my 89' Silverado. I have done alot to it since I purchased it. It was not in good shape at all. Very neglected by previous owner. But here it is as of today. I have done way to much to it in repairs and replacement to list. I have some more plans for it later on, but right now I am starting a build on y 70' Chevy truck.

Welcome Greg, nice truck -- I like the fat rallies. And the fog lights.

Re: How about some pics of 88-98 Part II
Thank you. You dont see the ralleys around here much anymore. Everyone has went to torque thrust or similiar wheels. I am putting ralleys like those on the 70' when I get to that point with it. I just like a good 10" wide wheel on a chevy truck.

Re: How about some pics of 88-98 Part II
Thanks. Gotta do something with the front rubbing issue. I'm sure it has to do with the 255/70r15 tires.

Re: How about some pics of 88-98 Part II
You can go to a 235/75/15 on front to gain some clearance. Or will you be changing wheels too? I like the stance.

Re: How about some pics of 88-98 Part II
Thanks. My project truck has a pair of 235/70r15 that I had planned to try on the Silverado this weekend. If those work it will give me idea which way to go when ordering the new wheels.

Re: How about some pics of 88-98 Part II
Yeah, I have 235/75s on the front of my Suburban with a 3" drop and I've never rubbed once with them.

Here's my daily that I just redid the body on over the winter. I painted it white diamond pearl (on new denalis and escalades).

Re: How about some pics of 88-98 Part II
Didn't see too many 454SS trucks in this thread so here is mine...
Since these pictures, added 3" dual exhaust all the way back with Warlock Racing mufflers, shiny new tail lights, headlights, and signals with VERY bright LED bulbs, and yes those are dents in the back which I have since tried to touch up a little. Also put in a new high flow air filter and had a mechanic lower the idle speed on the ECM. Would love to mess around with the ECM myself but cant find a TECH1. The truck was lowered when I got it, probably that 4/6 standard most people do. I think this body style is the best for roll pans, they look really good. I've done a few more things but cant think of it right now. I'd also love to know what you people do for horsepower without getting rid of the TBI system. 400HP is my goal for it. Any more and I'd probably need to strap big I-beams to the bed. |
