Re: My first build-1967 C10 LWB

Worked on the truck all afternoon today. I got the clutch pedal installed (new cab was an automatic truck), gas tank installed, painted my steering column and I will put that in tomorrow or sunday, my e-brake handle painted, master cylinder put back in, painted the inside of the doors, got some of the floor pans painted but I ran out of paint, gauge cluster and glove box installed, and I got all of the touch up on the interior finished. Next I need to get all of the wiring hooked back up (started that tonight) so I can get all of my lights working and fire it up

Here are the pic's:

Re: My first build-1967 C10 LWB

In the next few days now that I've got it in the garage I'm going to wet sand the truck and paint it one last time because there were a few areas I wasn't very happy with. Then I'm going to install my stereo and get some sound deadener and carpet put in so the interior will be pretty much done. That's all for now, hope everyone has a great christmas!

Yeah i'm really close. I have the original windshield but when I took it out of storage there was a crack in it from somebody moving my truck parts around, and the one that came in the new cab had a bullet hole in it lol so now i have to save up for a windshield...it never ends

I've got the horn button laying around in my piles of parts somewhere, once I get the column back in (probably tomorrow) i'll get that install. The cops around here in my area are pretty easy going, but then again i know pretty much all of them and my uncle is the sheriff (well he retired a week ago) but i hate CHP's lol

Yeah, i live around a bunch of annoying old angry people who get mad if you leave the garage door open for 15 minutes but we basically told them to f*** off and they don't bother us anymore haha but my truck isn't even at my house right now and it was in the garage when it was and my brothers mach 1 has been in the body shop for almost a year now so all we have is our boat in the drive way and my dads burb so they don't complain anymore

Re: My first build-1967 C10 LWB

Are you going to put a stereo in there, i just put mine in i had to clear up the previous owners wiring disaster but i redid it and it all hooked up smoothly. I cut my dash too, it was so easy, i tried a saw zaw but it would jump too much so i just used a cheap kobalt hack saw and it only took 30 minutes, but make sure you measure twice.

Re: My first build-1967 C10 LWB

Haha alright sounds good. I sent you a request Rick..at least I think I did. you have a pic of a guitar, right lol?

I'm going to put in a stereo I got for Christmas. The p/o of my new cab cut one side of the dash just enough to look s**** so I'm going to cut it and drop it in there. I have a huge mess of wiring too, I've been working on it for a couple of days now going through all of the junk gotta love 43 years of crap lol
