Re: 24 years later....here we go
I figured you would be at the front door of the tire shop when they opened this morning.
Looks like you've got plenty of clearance there. Looks really good - so much better!! Posted via Mobile Device

Re: 24 years later....here we go
Thanks NewType72, the C57's are really nice. I was wanting something that resembled the BS roulettes. Weather they do or not I dont know but I like em too! Just need the rears..
Thanks to everyone for the comments. I made some good choices based on good info provided on this forum. I found a great painter and have made new friends that I met on here. What a great resource for all of us....sniff sniff Posted via Mobile Device Last edited by hfd410; 05-26-2013 at 10:41 PM. Reason: Content |

Re: 24 years later....here we go
What's your experience with Coys? I've read, all over this site that they are horrible about getting wheels out on time, or bad customer service, but their product is great. Is your experience that they're just backed up, or did they have your front wheels in stock and have to make your rears... maybe something else entirely? I'm just curious. My wife agreed with me on those same wheels, in chrome. I can't see going polished when it sits outside all the time and it trades daily driver duty with my '05 G6 GT. Plus, my wife can't see spending $$$$ on billets when it's not a show truck... yet
Anyway, I'm just wondering what it will be like when I finally get around to getting new wheels for the truck.

Re: 24 years later....here we go
They shipped the fronts immediately and said the rears would follow in a couple of weeks. It has been 2 1/2 months. They generally return e-mails and have been keeping me informed. If I can just get what I have paid for I will probably rethink ordering from them again. But they are very nice wheels...

Re: 24 years later....here we go
I got an email from Coys today that stated that the wheels were there and were shipping out tomorrow. I asked for shipping info so we'll see what happens. Im sure they'll be here in a few days.....

Re: 24 years later....here we go
After that all I have is the color matched Line-X liner, alignment, charge AC, and I'm gonna run it up and have it dyno tuned. Probably overkill for my set up but I wanna make sure its right.
I got the seatbelts back the other day. I ended up going with black which really looks good against the houndstooth. They blend in good with the column and other black parts inside. |

Re: 24 years later....here we go
Ok time for a real update. Sorry, I've been out cruising the town......
Got em mounted and balanced today and took her up for a front end alignment. Took the guy a while but he got the front end really straight with the computer. The steering wheel is perfect and it goes down the road straight as an arrow. Need to add a sway bar but it drives really nice. All I have left is the color matched LineX, charge the AC, and a few adjustments here and there. |
