Nice work on the front end! I bet you kinda wish you had done the xmember before you put the engine in? Great pics as always! Keep it up.

Those blasted parts looks awesome! It makes me wish mine was sand blasted instead of just cleaned and painted.

Man, I am so jealous. Your a lucky guy to access to that shop an all that equipment. I'm sure you could make it work in a storage shed if you had to. The truck looks great. It is inspiring me to rip mine apart.

Keep the updates and pictures coming!

Please don't smoke, its bad for you!

Re: 1972 Cheyenne Restoration

Today was a busy day.....the crossmember is painted. although it looks powdercoated. I won't however reveal my secret on how I did it !!! It is very durable also.... we tested it by accident. We installed the rear diff cover too... bolts are silver tooffset all the black... and rust !!!

Please elaborate a little on the paint....I would like to find some paint that is more durable than the rustoleum hammered that I am using. It looks great but scratches very easy. You don't have to give me all your trade secrets. just enamel? poly? urethane? BTW the parts turned out great! Thanks

On a serious note... We hope to get the heater box back on early this week. Also we will tie up the loose ends and get the doghouse back on for good. Here are more from yesterday....

When everything comes together.... good things happen. We have spent way more time than I ever imagined on Jon's truck.. Every time we mark something off the checklist.. we add 2 more things !!!

Thanks so much for all the positive comments. We sincerely appreciate them all !!!!!

And Geoff... you're the MAN !!!!!!

It's called the "Might as well's" The build deserved to be finished off right so I'm glad you got caught up and decided you "might as well" finish it off the right way
