Re: Project N2Deep
I can't tell you guys how many times I've heard "two weeks" for something to get done. I mean I work 70+ hrs a week, I just don't have the time to hold someone's hand and babysit them. I'll give him another month, then go from there. I'm just venting at this point. I told him straight up if he would have told me from the begining it was going to take a year I would have been fine with that. But to go from 4,6,8 to 10 months all the while telling me the hard part was done and things would start moving just leaves me upset. And call me old fashion but when you look a man in the eye and shake on something that should be a done deal, that's how I live my life anyways.

Re: Project N2Deep
why does it seem that 90% of body and paint men have no work ethic ?? guys that can do killer work but just wont ... i work on commission only and that is no different , it like you have money setting there and you wont bend down to pick it up !!! i just dont get it, im not saying every bodyman is like this but it sure seems more common than not

Re: Project N2Deep
Unfortunately this seems to be the Norm with Body shops, not sure why, as they have the potential to make alot of $$$$, if they stayed on track, and finished the vehicles when they say they would. I think they prefer the real quick, easy $$ insurance jobs, over the customs, but thats just my thoughts.
I hope he finishes your truck!

Maybe there is only so much sanding a person can do before they want to go jump off a bridge or someting. Man, I HATED sanding by the time I got done with the '56. I actually think I wore off all my fingerprints before I was through. I am pretty sure hell may have a room full of car hoods, a endless supply of bondo and a 4" block sander...just sayin'

Re: Project N2Deep
Wow, how time flys. The bed is painted and should be back on the truck by now. He says he is finishing up some details and I should be able to pick it up soon. Man if I had only knew 4 months in painter means 15 months in english! It's been so long I don't even feel like I own the truck anymore, anyways I'll take some pics next week.

Re: Project N2Deep
Even for a phone pic it looks really good. Maybe a couple more teaser pics would be cool!

Re: Project N2Deep
At this point I'm not in a hurry to get the truck back. All the shows are over for the year. Plus I think this one is going on ebay as soon as it's done. Time to thin the herd it's either this one or the 67. I may change my mind when it's done, but as it stands the white 67 & the 55 are my keepers.
