and some more - 1st one used to be mine, think I only posted a tire pic before... Last 2 are pics of one I WISH I'd not let slip thru my fingers, it was pretty much my holy grail of 2WD trucks. Absolutely loaded C2 Highlander C big block.

Re: CUSTOM CAMPERS lets see them!
I know that I posted this before, but now I have a new shell. Nothing inside but truck, though, so no inside pix. It's a Longhorn, but does not have the scripts, and I don't see where the holes might have been filled. It was also Wht & Hug Org & Wht, but the lower section got painted orange by my FIL, about 30 YA. I'll be putting that correct someday, as I like that look better.

Re: CUSTOM CAMPERS lets see them!
Was this vintage GM video posted already? If not skip to time 22:56 for the custom camper portion of the show (that is if you want to skip the Suburban and the Blazer portions of the film):

Re: CUSTOM CAMPERS lets see them!
I have a 1967 GMC 3/4 ton custom camper cruiser that my dad bought new in 67. I've seen a lot of camper specials but mine is the only camper cruiser I've seen. Anyone else seen a camper cruiser? The chrome badge is on both front fenders towards the front. I'll get a picture here tomorrow . Thanks

Re: CUSTOM CAMPERS lets see them!
Nice truck, the emblems look cool. At first I thought they were a dealer thing but I guess they're factory.

Re: CUSTOM CAMPERS lets see them!
I saw this 67 GMC for sale in the car corral at Hershey a few years ago. It was an interesting way for a service body manufacturer to market their bodies. I would think that it would be pretty useful having all of those service body cabinets available when camping.

Re: CUSTOM CAMPERS lets see them!
I was planning on turning the 3/4 ton into a 4x4 but now having second thoughts since there doesn't seem to be many camper cruisers around.

Re: CUSTOM CAMPERS lets see them!
That blue utility truck reminds me of my truck.
I have a '67 GMC 1 ton 133" 9' stepiside with tool boxes installed on the stock stepside bed in place of the stock fenders. This was done at the dealership when new. Very practical use of space. |

Re: CUSTOM CAMPERS lets see them!
Thanks, It's a driver(pleasure use only) that I do plan to use for hauling a camper. Still needs some TLC to get it in top shape but not too bad for 48 years old.

Re: CUSTOM CAMPERS lets see them!
My Longhorn. Sat in a scrapyard for 12 years before I got it. It gets driven every day and is always hauling the horse trailer or has the camper on it. Been a very reliable truck. Its a beater but it gets the job done. Its currently getting a 454 since the 350 I swapped in it last year started knocking in the bottom end.
