The 15s are stock wheels from a 92 C-1500. I believe they are 15" X 7" with 4" of backspacing.

I had to weld brackets to my axle to mount the air ride setup anyway so I was able to use any rear end I could fit in it. The rear I used already had all of the stock mounting brackets cut off and smoothed out so I don't know how they line up but I doubt it's a simple bolt in swap. I also had to have my driveshaft modified to work with it.

Great build, even if you are using 'brand X' suspension The mobsteels are gonna look great. Also, kudos on the faux Hotwheels- that's too cool!

Nothing new with the 63 but I wrecked my daily S-10 2 months ago and the replacement truck I ordered came in this week. Just picked it up today...

Re: '63 GMC Project

Man your truck is amazing. Just read whole thread. Brand x looks like a great product I also like how the lca mounts. Would be nice to know the company. First time I've seen them block it like that. Wonder what the reason is. Which horn is that? I had a farmer buddy of mine give me a set of nathan air chimes they are crazy loud. One rule no kids and no grey hair for mine. I'd feel to bad if I killed someone with a horn

Thanks man! I don't know what brand the whistle is but I got it on ebay. I have it running from a quick connect on my tank so if the horn button gets stuck I can just disconnect it. I also have a an adjustable pressure regulator to control the volume (the whistle is rated from 60 to 120 psi). I have it set around 80 I think. Not obnoxious like train horns but loud enough to hear over the motor. As for the suspension, that company no longer makes that kit so it doesn't really matter. If you want I can PM you the info.

Re: '63 GMC Project

I just started working on it last weekend. I got a set of CPP spindles that bring the wheels in .5" on each side and depending on the tire size I go with It might work. I'm waiting on an answer from CPP to see if their modular spindles will bring the wheels in any more or not.

Re: '63 GMC Project

I ended up getting a set of CPP's modular spindles and brake brackets to bring the wheels in another 5/16" per side. It looks like that might have done the trick. I got the suspension buttoned back up and the wheels installed and jacked both wheels up and they cleared my fenders without having to trim them any more. I still need to put it back on the ground and cycle the suspension but the airline I was using to fill the truck's air tank with sprung a bad leak so I couldn't put any air in the truck to get it off the jack stands.

Here's a teaser pic...

I went with a 245/40/20. I was going to go with a 245/40/20 but decided to get a smaller diameter to try and dial in my speedo.

I just called them to order mine. Their website is a little wonky.

Thanks, man. I'm looking into some new centercaps and maybe some beauty rings for them but I'm really diggin' the way they look now so I don't know, I might just leave 'em the way they are.
