Re: How about some pics of 99-06
Haha, not really, I just had my first actual break from school (No exams, senior projects FTW/FTL at the same time) so I got it put back together. It had sat in the shop since last August when my Mom conveniently wrecked her 02 Tahoe of the same color...perfect time to color match for cheap. Getting her Tahoe back together was first priority though since I had something else to drive.

Re: How about some pics of 99-06
Here's my poor old '05 GMC with my '68 GMC project on the back. Thankfully black doesn't show the dirt or you could tell I haven't washed it in about a month.
It only has 50,000 miles on it. I bought is new when I was at Hot Rod Bikes magazine, and started using it to tow projects when I started at CCT in '06. She's stock except for Kevlar Goodyear Wranglers, and a Xmas tree air-freshener on the mirror. pretty boring huh? |

Re: How about some pics of 99-06
Not boring at all John. I'm a GMC man too.
My wife loves her Chevy Burb but has said her next truck will be a GMC too. Do I need to convert the 69 Chevy to GMC as well?

Re: How about some pics of 99-06
GMC's are never boring, I love 'em all too!
I'll give you the back story, so my comment might make a little better sense. The day I took this photo was the first time I was ever successful at posting photos on any forum. My camera spits out ultra hi-res stuff, and that's all I use because of the magazine stuff. I cranked it way down and walked out in front of my house and took pictures of some of my trucks to practice posting photos on here (it's a lot of fun!) The Jimmys were caught in their natural habitat. As I was writing my comments, I think I was feeling a little guilty not going to much effort to compose a decent photo, that's all. Convert the '69 Chevy to a GMC? You might be on to something. |

Re: How about some pics of 99-06
Oh, and the truck under the cover is my '66 Chevy short Fleet, the mangy blue and white one that always used to show up in CCT tech stories. The white cab peeking out is my trusty little '00 S-10.
I was picture taking fool that day, I'm surprised I didn't put a picture of my dog and my new lawnmower on here. |
