Two piece template. Because I still had some of my holes remaining it was an easy match up! I used masking tape to protect my paint and drill my holes...

I will be sending Dan his template back so he can perfect it and make it a one piece! It took minutes to duplicate the holes! Wow! I just love this forum!

These hood letters are the only molding I chose to keep on my 67. I had second thoughts after paint. But it was too late because I never covered the holes. Well except for the bondo that covered some and was painted over making it hard to figure the pattern! Leaving the letters was a great choice!

All, I got to see this truck in person today, and I have to say that it was beautiful, and tastefully done, and is show worthy! It looks better in person, even better than the pictures he has posted! Above all of that, he is a really nice guy!

Been slow motion lately. Decided to mock fit my door panels and handles! The chrome doors finalized my decision on my glove box door, it will be chrome!

I need to itemize my electrical components. I currently have my Painless Harness, Dakota Digital Dash with it's components, My outside lights, electric fan relay, my main thing is all the switch items, like the switches that go to the dash, the brake light switch that goes on the brake pedal, and etc. My truck was gutted by the PO and I need everything. I also want to go with remote locks, alarm, a vintage radio with blue tooth capabilities, After market AC unit, and I've decided to go with a push button start. I really would like to start with the switches. Anyone got an itemize list and the best vendor on quality electrical parts?

Gathered my last remaining parts that I need to be powder coated. Will send off tomorrow with Dan Letter template. Operation final assembly!

Wow! I just sat here and read every single post and page of this build thread. Totally inspired! Keep up the great work! Your truck is going to look killer. I really dig all the personal and unique touches you've incorporated into a very high quality, thought out build. I totally dig the snakeskin buddy buckets! Man, just beautiful!

Thank you Robbie! That means a lot. More than you know. It's easy to get intimidated by these trucks, when you go through some of the threads and see some of the remarkable craftsmanship of some of our members. Where I may lack in money, tools, and mechanical genius. I balance out with creative vision. So anytime I get a pat on the back. Especially on this forum? It truly does encourage me!

I got both from classic industries. Perfect fit! A little pricey but well worth it!

After watching several install videos and getting a GM Parts TV Cable. I decided to tap the holes on the block where the bolts go for the transmission and getting a quart of fluid for the converter, I decided to install my tranny!

It wasn't easy! 4 jacks but I installed it by myself! Wow! I'm very proud! Now I can measure to see what I need to cut and balance my drive shaft to. Looks like 60 inches. But I will double check! Measure twice cut once! I ordered a lot of parts today as well!

Cleaned the shop today. Bought some wheel dollies too. Hopefully my windshields and rear gets installed tomorrow!

My truck is so dusty! I need to clean that dash good before the windshield install while I can still reach everything!

More assembly next week when my shipments come in, been researching AC units this morning. I'm leaning towards vintage air! But Old Air is in a close second and still may over take them... I still have time. All winter to be exact!

Thanks Brian. I'm trying to stay positive and focused! New headers and electrical components are on the way! I'm seriously considering trying to wire this thing my self. Any advice? What's your thoughts? Do you have a wiring diagram for dummies? Lol!!!!

Decided to go for it and attempt to wire my truck! So far so good! Everything is going pretty smooth. The painless instructions are very detailed and the Dakota Digital is very user friendly! Got the extrernal light harness, electrical fans ran... I'm going to take it slow! I got all winter!

Glad to see your going to tackle the electrical yourself . It's not bad at all . Is that the # 10206 Painless harness ? If so , here's one thing to look for . On mine , wire # 906 was mislabeled as #903 . This is the gry/wht Cooling Fan Switch B+. Wire # 903 is the tan Cigarette lighter B+ lead . It itself was labeled correctly .

Just double check to confirm its correct . Also , if you call Painless tech support , ask to speak with Tony . He's the most knowledgeable , helpful tech guy there . IMO. You can PM me also if you have questions with it or the Dakota Digital stuff . Truck is looking great , keep up the nice work !

Thanks Chris! I'm sure I will have to hit you up about the wiring. As of right now things are looking good. I have a few questions about connection on the fan relay and my after market steering colum connect is different. I'm wondering if I need a different connection? But I'm pretty comfortable with what I've read and layed out! So any pictures or anything that you think will direct me on my way will be greatly appreciated!and yes I have that same harness 18 circuit set-up! I will double check that possible error as well!
