Re: The Fuse is Lit...
Hey guys I need your opinions on something.
I have the chance to get a early '70's Nova rear end. Buddy of mine has it, and is willing to pretty much just let me have it since it will not work in his early ford build. I am almost sure that my current rear axle is 63.5" (85 Chevy truck) and the Nova would be 60", that would give me about 1.75" of extra dish on each rear wheel if I wanted to do it. Guess that would be in the ballpark of 4-3.75" BS Do you guys think it would be worth it? I think the rear wheel would look something like this...

Well, I guess that covers that. What BS would you recommend on the front to keep balance with the deep lip on back?

Rex,
What is the plan on the wheels?? what kind? style? will you use 4.75X 5 on the rear or adapters? I like what you did with the service light, I will be hitting you up for part numbers and supplier |

Schott Americana But I also could save around $500.00 with these Vintec If I don't just use 4.75 x 5, I will probably have the axles redrilled lol. Sorry, what was I thinkin!

I really like them both but the top one jumped out at me the most. Either way it's gonna be killer.

Re: The Fuse is Lit...
I was reading a thread that had some homemade jackstands. I had enough scrap lumber around to build them. I was really struggling to get enough room with my regular jackstands.
I want to give credit to lolife99 and n2billet for the idea. It really helped me out a lot.

Re: The Fuse is Lit...
All the Vintec's that I have bought in the past all came dual drilled with both 4.75 and 5on5 bolt patterns. If you run Vintec's you will not have to drill your Nova axles.......food for thought.

If your talking about the pic at the top of the page it was just one I found on the site. I think the back wheel is 4" BS but that is about all I know. Sorry I don't know more about it.

Rest of the build is going slowly over the holidays, I need to put some heat in the garage, that might motivate me a little more. haha All kidding aside, if Brendan gets my PCM back this week I will probably go for a start up, I am gonna cross all my fingers and a few toes when I hit that switch.
