Re: 3r!c84 build
Ok last night gf and I took the truck down town to the movies and then the beach. Had like 10 ppl say nice truck or wanna race or what's it got in it. starts getting annoying after a little . Inside of my truck is filled with beach sand.

Re: 3r!c84 build
Get some shorty headers that way you can tuck the exhaust up as far as possible.

Re: 3r!c84 build
to big>> 3 inch pipe dont need one 2 1/2 will do they make a transmission crossmember, so you can route your longtube headers up higher and closer.

Re: 3r!c84 build
Bigger ain't always better..kinda like carbs...too large a carburetor will actually make less power
Too large of exhaust will not scavenge the cylinders properly, thus sometimes leading to less performance and horsepower loss. 2-1/4" to 2-1/2" would be the largest I would go with your engine |

Re: 3r!c84 build
yes. but when the box was "working" driving like 45 mph it felt like it was missing. like wasnt a smooth rpm. and now its not like that.

Re: 3r!c84 build
Header sizing and length is where your power is.
All you want the exhaust system to do is get the gases out with minumum backpressure 2.5 pipe is good for 450hp (in theory). mufflers will make a difference too. Use a mandral bent system with a straight through muffler design such as the Dyno Max Ultra flow. Mandral kits are no more money that a muffler shop kink job real world muffler testing http://www.boyleworks.com/ta400/psp/exhaust.html |

Re: 3r!c84 build
Believe me dude, if I had the money, my $h*t would be rocking. Just don't have the funds. Hell man, I'm 52. I've built a lot of engines, cars, and trucks, in my time. Yeah, get you some better mufflers man.

Re: 3r!c84 build
Mandrel bent exhaust systems are the ultimate step in performance. Mandrel bent pipes don't lose any pipe diameter in bends, which means more flow and more overall performance. Having a full mandrel bent system also makes your vehicle's powerband more tuneable.
