Re: DLoE's Dropmembered 65 StepSiDe Build
have you run your tank to pump fuel lines yet?
If so, what did you use? I am not sure what to use; I just know that I dont really want to string 3 or 4 tubes along to make one that is good length for the task.

Re: DLoE's Dropmembered 65 StepSiDe Build
Very cool build! What gas filler door did you use? I just got my tank in on tues and I need to figure out where to put the gas door at. I'm probably putting it in the bed floor. Looking good though!

Re: DLoE's Dropmembered 65 StepSiDe Build
do you have strap under that tank and if not you should...
i just ran to a problem today i got a hair line crack were the bolt hole is at. im thinking its from the weight of the gas pushing down on it. are those tank aluminum or metal? |

Re: DLoE's Dropmembered 65 StepSiDe Build
Mcmurphy - I used 2 3/8" hard lines with a union fitting, then a small piece of soft line from the framerail to the pump, and fron the tank to framerail.
Zipp- I got my filler at West Marine, it will be under the bedfloor when you drop the tailgate. Sick - no straps, maybe I will add one, you have the same tank? Posted via Mobile Device |

Re: DLoE's Dropmembered 65 StepSiDe Build
Thanks, I may have to do the same thing. I am guessing they are the 70" lines from the parts store? I am going to need to do a return line too on mine, both the fuel pump and the tank sending unit are set up for it.

Having that raised bed floor gives you all kinds of room under there for stuff like the exhaust. Truck is looking great!
