What radiator is that? It seems like all the ones I find have the upper hose in the middle. I like how yours is off to the passenger side.

Its a Walker radiator made for the 47-54 AD trucks with an LS in them. You have to order it for an LS

http://www.walkerradiatorworks.com/. They don't list it you have to call them and order it. You may want to sit down prior to getting the price but its a very well built radiator

Re: 1949-50 3100

Soon as you said walker, I knew it wasn't gonna be cheap. It does look good in there. On a cheaper note, speedway has some that work well with the LS engines, has the pass side inlet. I like how the walker appears almost stock and has the center inlet, I like how the house is routed too.

Re: 1949-50 3100

I got this one off craigslist for $450 with an AC condenser on it, I don't think I would have sprung for a $900 radiator otherwise.

Dave, very good job... looks great. Like the color. Do you remember the final tire and wheel size and the final front and rear drop clearance, Thanks

Re: 1949-50 3100

The tires are 235/60-18 Goodyear Eagle Sport, wheels are 18x8, Not sure of the drop, we cut springs till it looked right. I think they were stock S10 2x4 springs and we cut a coil out. Customer drove it Saturday and loved it and gave us another truck to do. He really liked the truck arm suspension and how it rides.

If I remember tomorrow I'll measure the frame off the ground front and back. I think the front is 8" from the ground.

Truck looks great!

Backing up a bit, did you use the Holley AC mount? Did you have to clearance the inner fender? Thanks!

Thanks,
We did use the Holley brackets and did have to cut into the fender wells to get the AC and the Alt to fit. You don't see the fender modification because everything is so close in there it blends in.

Re: 1949-50 3100

Here are the final alignment numbers on the Scott Danforth cross member

It lined up at

left side
-0.1 degree camber
0.8 degree caster
.11 degree toe

right side
0.0 camber
1.4 caster
.11 toe

lined up as a 2003 S10 4x2

The camber was a little out of spec but close enough, every thing else was within spec.

We are going to put sway bars on and a better shock on the back but it handles good and steers quickly.

Re: 1949-50 3100

Do you have any close up pics for the passenger's side inner fender, where the compressor is? I will have a similar condition (whenever I get there) and I'd like to see how you dealt with it.

Thanks.
