Unfortunately the stock dash was pretty wrecked. Since we were going to have to modify it anyhow, we decided it was faster just to make a new one.
It's still just roughed in at this point, but you can see the basic shape coming along.

Hey Justin,

My first post on this site is to say the truck looks amazing!. The metal fabrication you guys do is mind blowing. I was wondering what you guys do with the door glass. Will you make your own window channels and what will you use for the power window regulators? Something like the Dakota Digital flat glass kit?

This what we are doing with the windows on the truck

1.The door glass since we pulled back the windshield and pulled back the door pillars. The side glass is being custom made.We made a pattern for the door glass on Monday and they are being made out of Tempered Glass so they are strong.Tempered is alot stronger than Laminated glass. The power windows we are using are Specialty Power windows. The top portion on the door tops we remade the inside of the top doors. This is the same height as the outside of the doors now.Looks alot better now.

2.The front and back windshield are factory glass.

Anymore questions let us know

Justin

I'm sure there is more than one of us that is curious about how exactly to rake the windshield back and still have the OE glass fit. Could you share some more details and pictures of how this mod is accomplished? ...Please...

Re: Goodguys 2015 Giveaway C10 by Scott's Hotrods

Truck is gone to the painters. We will have the chassis back end of next week to take apart and go to the powder coaters. The cab will be painted and back to us in two weeks. Then the cab will go onto the chassis and we can do all the assy on the inside of the cab. Then the glass will go in place. Then the cab and frame will be ready to mount the bed and front sheetmetal in place. Then off to the dyno shop for some tuning. Then off to the interior shop for a super custom one of a kind interior by Ron Mangus.

Paint is being done by Alan Palmer of Palmers custom paint. One of the best Painters in the Country. He has painted most of our buiilds over the last 10 years.

For interior Ron Mangus is one of the best out there in my opinion in the Country.
He has done most of our builds over the last 20 years

For the chrome no other than Advanced Plating in Nashville TN.Best Chrome shop out there hands down

Re: Goodguys 2015 Giveaway C10 by Scott's Hotrods

Did you use a bead roller for the style line on the inner fenders? If so, did you do it to a flat piece of sheetmetal or after the sheetmetal was curved?

Re: Goodguys 2015 Giveaway C10 by Scott's Hotrods

On the inner fender wells we used a bead roller on the top portion of the inner fender well. This section is welded on at the radius of the inner well then metal finished out.The flat section of the well where you see the bead roll detail that ties into the firewall this section is done when it is a flat piece of the metal.

Bead roller we have is Lazze bead roller

Man this thing is turning out sweet. The fit and finish you guys are able to accomplish is unreal. The only thing I'm not a huge fan of is those hood hinges. Was there a reason to have them stick out so much?
