Re: The "Frankenstine" build;
Good Morning Everyone;
Need some input ! ! I'm thinking about building a box around the front of the radiator to mount the cooling fan on. My question is will this still allow the radiator to stay cool at normal idle? I do not have the space to install it be hind the radiator. Going to try to make one out of cardboard first(for a pattern) Take a look at the pics n you will see where I'm at with this now. Will try to get some better views today. Still working on the front grill bars also. T-P Auto Tim |

Re: The "Frankenstine" build;
Tim, if there is no other choice it would be worth trying. I've never seen an application with only a pusher fan, probably because pulling air through works so much better. Wish I had a better idea for you.

I spent all day working on the radiator mounting. Spend several hrs working out the cooling fan clearness. I think I come up with a plan to get radiator n fan mounted together. Will try to get some pics tomorrow. Hard to explain in words. Will be using a puller fan. Sometime it just take a lot of try n retry. T-P Auto Tim |

Re: The "Frankenstine" build;
Hey Tim, a lot of the S-10 V8 conversions run just a pusher fan, the trick is to not build a box or shroud around a pusher style unit because it blocks off to much airflow at speed. If you do go with a pusher only make sure you get one with at least 3500 CFM airflow.

Re: The "Frankenstine" build;
Good Evening Everyone;
Well worked all day on the cooling fan/radiator mounting brackets. Did not get any pic of the work done today. Will try to get pic first thing in the morning. Still pushing on my sore leg. So not a fast as I would like. Did a lot of cutting n welding today. Will be so glad when I get the cooling/radiator mounting done. It has been a lot of thinking,drawing then changing the way I though,then back to the old drawing board. T-P Auto Tim |

Re: The "Frankenstine" build;
Hello;
The leg is healing but slowly. I'm useing one of older socket for now. Hopefully I will get a new one in a couple of weeks. The past two weeks I was casted then fitted last week,monday I will get it cked one more time then will get the NEW socket the following week. Then I get to have two more made. So with it slowly healing I try to get off of it by like 3pm n relax till 10 for bed time. T-P Auto Tim |
