Re: 67 C10 "Green Gobblin" straight from the field!
Time for a few more updates! Since I put in the radiator and hooked up all the hoses I figured it was a good time to run do a little carb tuning and check over everything. Good thing as after about 20 mins running i had about 1 cup of oil on the floor under the rear of the pan!
So we crawled under and yanked the pan off and took it over to the solvent steam cleaner and put a nice new 1 piece gasket in! While the pan was cleaning i decided to instal the new booster and master/prop and run the brake lines. Just a little to shiny for me but I will figure something out? lol |

Re: 67 C10 "Green Gobblin" straight from the field!
I moved onto a little interior work since my dash pad and carpet came in from brothers. I had ordered that from lmc but it showed up in olive green that didn't match at all! So I decided to try brothers and just go blk dash pad and try their lighter colour green carpet. Carpet Green is good but they messed up and sent me a high hump carpet! So instead if returning I just put a high hump tunnel in i had kicking around (future plans anyway). My daughter is now happy as she can play and sleep in the cab while I work! lol

Unreal, awesome work. I just picked up a cab with new floor that I have to weld in. Your pics will surely help. Going for that patina on a 67 factory utility bed c10 like one that was at sema last yr. Keep pics coming!! Unreal talent you have for metal work

Time for a few more updates! I decided to run the 72 EEC style tank with the vapour canister to try and cut down on some gas smells so we shall see how that works? I had the tank steam cleaned and pressure tested so its ready to go. I also tracked down the correct canister and fender bracket. Heres a few pics!

Re: 67 C10 "Green Gobblin" straight from the field!
Next up gauges! I wasn't happy with my LMC cluster since I was kicking myself for not ordering it with the vac gauge. So I returned it and ordered the one I should have got in the first place! :wash:
I also wanted to convert the amps to volts so I grabbed a similar size volt gauge (sun pro) and an old GM amp gauge and swapped the guts. Turned out pretty good as you can't even tell and works perfect! |

Nice work on the truck. In a world of LS engines, love the big block. Do you remember where you got the canister? My 72 is in need of one.

I've been on this build thread for hours...HOURS! *not kidding* Your build should be a staple of "How to build a C10"! Thanks for all of the information, lit a fire under my a$$ to get into the garage!

Ahahah thanks ilikethewoods I’m glad you like the build! I’ve had to take a break from it for abit and while doing that plans have changed! When I get some time I will update to where I left off last year.

Just ran through your build. Was looking at projects with blending new paint and patina and found yours. Great progress so far.

Re: 67 C10 "Green Gobblin" straight from the field!
Ok it's finally time for an update! It's almost a year since I put any progress or pics up but a lot has changed in that time. To much time sitting and looking at awesome builds online has had me change my direction (again). I will finish off with a few pics I never got a chance to put up before I stopped and went into full teardown mode. Here are a few of the front end sheet metal going together.

Re: 67 C10 "Green Gobblin" straight from the field!
I Finally got the 275s mounted onto the 15x8s for the rear so I could see where it will sit. Unfortunately it was just not low enough for me with the notch I put in so thats where I stopped to rethink the build. Heres a few pics of the rear.

Totally understand stand the changing of directions while reading about builds on here. The same thing cause me to buy another truck to drive over the course of the build.

Re: 67 C10 "Green Gobblin" straight from the field!
So over the winter I gathered up some parts from a few board members here. Mirror arms, Green belts, visors, etc... put a few orders in to brothers, lmc and ordered up the Accuair E-level Air ride system. My boy was pretty excited to go through all the air ride parts!

Re: 67 C10 "Green Gobblin" straight from the field!
I pulled the (best) seat out of one of my parts trucks (72) since the seat frame in this 67 was pretty beat/bent. Plus I wanted a 71-72 seat to be able to have the Green Houndstooth style. Sent it off to the upholster with the cover and it turned out pretty good.
