The truck looks wonderful. Hope you show well in new Brunswick. These truck builds can be a trek to get completed but once completed they are worth the time. Congrats.

thanks.it's been a struggle but it's turned out pretty well i think.i'll be loading up thursday to get it to Moncton.there is a 67 or 68 Mustang going to be there too,a local car built over quite a number of years and it was just in Detroit for Autorama and it made it to the Riddler final 8 so it must be a beauty.i haven't done an indoor show in a long, long time so it'll be a change.pictures to follow i'm sure.take care.Greg

Re: 1972 Cheyenne Super coming apart to go back together

well,we're about done i'd say.loaded up here last Thursday for Moncton,New Brunswick and the 49th Annual Speed Sport Car Show.there were some very, very nice cars and trucks there.i displayed my truck for the first time and won First Place in the restored truck class and an award with $200.00 for outstanding restoration work.now we'll have to drive and get back onto the 39 Chrysler project that's here and was put on the back burner so i could do the truck.

The truck turned out super nice Mud! As much as I don't like the rear bumper it just belongs to the truck. I would be scared to drive it anywhere. Good job Sir.

thanks.i think it did turn out pretty nice and i'm going to drive it.i doubt i'll haul rocks in it,or anything as far as that goes, her work days are over but we'll drive it.it runs so well,i'm looking forward to it.i am not a fan of that oversized "cast iron" rear bumper either.my plan was to bring home an original chrome bumper and the brackets from the Charlotte Autofair in April, but i didn't make it.maybe next April i'll get there but for now,it'll have to do.i just got emailed to me tonight, some pictures from the nephew of the original owner, from when the truck was pulled from storage in Idaho after 25 years.quite a difference, then til now.
take care
Greg

Re: 1972 Cheyenne Super coming apart to go back together

i thought i'd do just a little update about my truck.the last pictures here, were at an indoor car show, last April 2023.we've had a busy summer, driven the truck to several more shows, had a ball.it runs so well,a pleasure to drive but she's a thirsty old girl but that's ok.everywhere i stop, somebody comments or thumbs up.lots of pictures made of her.she's very popular everywhere we go.she's back in hibernation for winter but spring will be here before we know it,and off we'll go on more adventures somewhere.here's a couple pictures taken just this fall, before it went away.take care.

Hey Greg .... every time I see more pics of your truck I still go wow. Probably the nicest and best built bone stock original I've ever seen. Congrats and happy holidays!

Outstanding work.
It's a shame your project turned into a Groundhog Day movie thanks to a non qualified painter.
My 69 C/20 I had up until 3 years ago was originally White/Olive Green before the Hugger Orange transformation.
