Re: How about some pics of '73-'87 Short Beds

Hey Folks,

I recently re-acquired an 85 SWB Choo Choo Customs Special Edition, I bought this truck new when I was in high school, the truck is actually in pretty good shape, needs interior and paint, I'll try to post some pics later today, I am looking for opinions, my wife and I are going to go low, and custom with it, alot of my family think I should put it back like it was, just restore it. I know what me and my better half are going to do, just asking people's opinion.....

after all, anyone can restore, it takes a real man to cut something up....

Man! Those trucks used to be the thing to have when I was growing up when the choo choo scene was in full swing in South Texas. Got any pics? Does it have patterns?

A tired warrior of the 1980s in a world of low profile tires, front wheel drive, and plastic bumpers, where people stay in their houses until snowplows move the offending substance from their paths, too helpless to travel without AAA and chains and salt, clearing their windows with longhandled brushes while gently stepping around in the snow trying to stay nice and dry.

Yeah.....Personally I'd remove the sun visor and cab spoilers or whatever they're called. Restore the paintjob (if the paint scheme doesn't look too tacky by today's standards), throw some nice billets, and slam it

Re: How about some pics of '73-'87 Short Beds

Tacky.... yet delightfully unrefined.... I was thinkin maybe mono-chromatic black or black and red.... paintjob must definately has to change.. I don't know what I was thinkin back in 85 when I bought it...

I don't understand why so many people don't like the 81-82 front ends, they are my favorite from the 80's

I love that cab spoiler. I'm a Pontiac guy first and foremost and it has the appearance of a '70s Trans Am spoiler.

Re: How about some pics of '73-'87 Short Beds

I looked, I don't have a brochure, I have the CCC limited warranty papers... I never filled them out, I wonder if they would still warranty some of that stuff....LOL
As far as dumping the other stuff, I am pretty sure I will be getting ready of it, I'm sure we could probably work something out.

Nyce! My parents had a 78 Silverado 4x4 stepper like that, burgundy outside and tan inside. Definitely a cool truck.
