Re: Post Your Craigslist Finds
69 C10 SWB big block, buckets - $19K.
If this is how you'd want to build one, you probably couldn't do it for this price. I don't THINK this has been posted already, but it's been on CL for a while now. https://dallas.craigslist.org/dal/ct...416348257.html 72 C20 Cheyenne Super, big block, a/c (I think). $2500 https://sanantonio.craigslist.org/ct...419848588.html |

Re: Post Your Craigslist Finds
Here's a "buy with eyes wide open sort of truck": 72 C10 swb big block.
https://wichita.craigslist.org/cto/d...419434756.html I got all excited when I saw the flaky black paint exposing parchment door panels (i.e. a rare as hen's teeth swb big block highlander perhaps?) only to have it all come crashing down when I got the SPID. It's a Highlander! Yay! And it's also a Suburban too apparently! Boo.... Ha. Anyway, it's a frankentruck and it isn't rare, and as we all know there's no way to know it's a numbers matching big block. I'm assuming someone just peeled all the goodies off the Burb, engine and glovebox door included, and stuck em on a crusty 72 C10. But might meet someone's project needs. Mainly posting so nobody goes down the same road of excitement I did for nothing... EDIT: Felt worth adding this - seller was very responsive and gladly offered up SPID pic, etc. He probably just didn't realize what his SPID says. Again, this might be an interesting project, just didn't want anyone here to think they'd cornered the market on a swb big block highlander. I was pullin out my checkbook before I saw the SPID |

Re: Post Your Craigslist Finds
Forgive me for my lack of knowledge of this generation of truck, but was extended cab offered in ‘72 or is this a custom job?

Re: Post Your Craigslist Finds
If you have tried selling it on eBay several times, I would tend to believe you know what the market is on this truck.... Good luck with your sell.

Re: Post Your Craigslist Finds
I have only listed it once and pulled the auction because I have interest in the truck for what I’m asking. I’m not trying to be rude. I got the truck on trade only a short while ago.

How long is the bed? It looks like it started as a long bed.

Re: Post Your Craigslist Finds
I think it's a nice looking truck. I definitely know it's worth more than I could afford.

Re: Post Your Craigslist Finds
I agree with Ol Blue above, its a very nice truck, and out of my price range. It is some very nice custom work,i would love to see a shot of the underside area where the cab is fabbed together. the craftsmanship of that area would help determine the price range. That being said, for instance, One could buy a quad cab 2500 duramax with decent mileage for 20K-ish, but thats not a classic either. Please dont take my post negatively, when it comes to classic vehicles, custom fabrication can increase value but also can decrease it as well

I do agree that value of modified trucks is very dependent on the quality of the work. There a a lot of people out there who like custom and comfort.
