Re: 67 cheby's Dropmember build thread
lol......seriously I want your honest opinion on body drop when your done...I looked into that but looked like a lot of work for 3/4 inch--when I 1st heard of it from Nate--I had visions of MUCH lower but then it basically got the pinch welds to touch---JMO!!.......How's jr??.............jim

Re: 67 cheby's Dropmember build thread
The raised panel infill piece looks great. That helps give that big flat area some character it needs when the stock stuff is filled in.
The square body tubs are looking good too. Nice work Mike.

Re: 67 cheby's Dropmember build thread
i am also in the process of trying to follow N2billets and JTP67-72 lead of tucking the ac unit up far enough behind the dash that it is hidden, the only problem is that i think my unit might be a little bigger, luckily my hoses do come out to the side so i can do this just still trying to figure out what and where the cutting needs to start !

Re: 67 cheby's Dropmember build thread
Yours is definitely different from mine but looks like it will tuck --my dash is 2 1/2 " lower than stock dash which helps...that hose configuration would have made mine easier..........jim

Re: 67 cheby's Dropmember build thread
you could raise the gutterpart above the unit so it can slide up a little more
you can hardly see that on the outside , not sure if the wiperunit would be in the way of that though and you prolly need to make an extra drain for the rainwater

Re: 67 cheby's Dropmember build thread
That "shoe" right above fan motor is what i cut out and refabbed--but it may work if U do move to drivers side a little and up...mock and stand back and take a look.....when the truck is low alot of the underdash clutter disappears....jim

Re: 67 cheby's Dropmember build thread
Nice work on the firewall Mike. I'm interested in the v/a setup tucked. I am in the process of figuring mine out right now. I never even considered raising it. I probably won't now since I already cut the hole in the firewall. I know you are routing your hoses throught the fender well. I'm not doing that modification. Keep up the hard work.

Re: 67 cheby's Dropmember build thread
thanks guys ....after much consideration this weekend , i dont think i am going to cut into my the channel to raise the ac unit i can raise it about 2 inches without doing much of anything just a little bracket work so in order to keep progressing and not going backwards with my build (and i am a little scared to cut that part) i guess you will just be able to see mine a little !

Re: 67 cheby's Dropmember build thread
With the pinch weld on the ground, I'm pretty sure no-one will notice (or even see) your A/C box under the dash.
