I have plenty of those around the house. Come and get as many as you want.
Oh they are cheaper by the dozen.

Looks amazing Alan

You're using the wrong stuff. They're REALLY attracted to epoxy primer. How'd ya like the new stuff?

Nice work Alan! Is that a 3m primer gun with the throw away fluid caps?

It sprays just like slick sand. Very thick. Using the PPS cups I realized I should have pulled the filter out of the lid. It was too thick to go thru the filter which created a sputter. Next time I know. I tried to use the same cup and lid to save money, but after the 4th or 5th refill the sputter really got bad. The filter was plugging up. I installed a new PPS lid and it sprayed like when I started. That's when I realized I should have removed the filter. The only difference I noticed was the smell. I did cut it with maybe a tablespoon of thinner.

Good eye, you are correct. A painter gave me the gun cause he didn't like it. If my theory is correct about the sputter being caused by the filter then I will like it. The white tip is a 2.0 and the red is a 1.8. I used the white. I believe that info is correct. The only reason I knew that is that we got the new undercoating kits at work and it uses these tips.

EDIT I was wrong about the tip size. The white is 1.8. Here's a link to 3M PN 16570 on Amazon 3M PN 16570 on Amazon

That cup system is so nice if you're rigged for it. I need to invest, I'm too cheap! Do you like the new powder guide coat? I love it. Keep it up!

Re: Greg65 build thread

looking good alan, hope you figure out the sputter problem, I know in my gun I couldn't use the cup filter it wouldn't allow enough primer volume to spray evenly, almost like a dry spray except worse.

Re: Greg65 build thread

Had a chance to ride up and check out the progress Alan has made on the cab yesterday. There are a few more small areas the he wants to address and then let the blocking begin. I'm very pleased with all of his hard work.

Right door progress. I finished the skin patches, the inside bottom patch and the speaker hole is done. This is the first wipe. I didn't take a pic of it sanded. oops

We put those same mufflers on Korbin's 5.3 in his truck. They sound really good and not to loud.

Nice. I have them on my Silverado also. I like sound during normal driving and really like the tone under acceleration.

Re: Greg65 build thread

I had a good time talking with Alan Saturday about the progress on the cab and what is next on the list to do. This thing is looking amazing with the doors hung and the body work in right before being done. Here are a few pictures I snapped while I was there.
