I called today to see about getting a set of americans re-hooped on some 12" hoops. I can buy 2 new 20x8's and have the centers put on 12" wide rims as cheap as I can buy one 20x12 from most wheel companies. I wish I could afford some rushford's but I can't see swinging $3000 + for new wheels.

I finially bought me a engine cover from the land down under. The orange one is the one my Old Man had on his camaro.

I like the cover, what is is off of? Will it work with a truck Vortec?
Also in order to tuck those tires how far in will they need to sit?

The cover is from GM's Holden division, I don't know exactally what car it is from. They are usually a few of the covers floating around on ebay.I think the new pics will answer your question about the tires.

I really didn't realize these tires where this huge. These things will pass me as being pro street instead of just being pro touring

I am also glad I spent the time centering the rearend in the fender opening now.

I am working on getting my brackets made so I can bolt my rack in and going to start fabbing up some motor mounts.

As you can see in the pic my front tires are going to be as wide as what most people run on the rear.

I have been trying to decide what type if motor mounts and plates to buy but couldn't come up with anything I liked. I drew out a design on a piece of paper and went to work on it. Nothing special but I think the will look cool when done. am going to add a piece of flat to the bottom for strength.

Looks good, how tall are the front and rear tires? As for the motor mounts I like the design but I think it would look better with a piece of flat plate on top and bottom drilled like the center piece. Kind of a speed hole I-beam look then paint them alum so they match the A-arms.
How is that kid of yours doing?

The fronts are 26" and the rears are 28" tall. I might look into the I beam idea, not going to be much more work to add a piece to the top but I think it might get it the way of my steering with a piece on top.

My little boy is great. He has started trying to crawl this week, he is saying Da...Da... all day long. He is off the charts for his height, the doctors can't believe how tall he is. We went to Savannah this weekend, which is a 6 hour trip and he didn't pitch a fit one time down there or back.

Yeah my son was 9 months and his clothes were for 18 month. Now at 21 month he is between 2 and 3T. It seems like just yesterday he went for his first truck ride to the dumps at 1 week old or so. Now he has his own 51 F1 and loves climbing inside and "driving" but wants me out side with the door shut!

He is only 7 months and he is already in 12+ clothes. Sounds like you and him are having some fun. I haven't taken Carter a ride in one of my old trucks yet but we have left some nice black marks in my crew cab I can't wait until he can go trail riding in my cucv but that means I will probably have to put a cage in it.

A little different step in the way of shaving a firewall. Poor me didn't do the easy way out. I am going to go back with a flat piece. As you can see I started making my template. I also go the floor cut for the new tubs that I am going to make. Got the motor mounts in...etc I even had time to pull the top off my other blazer and get it muddy

By the time it is all said and done this won't take much longer than patching all them holes and it will look better too. As far foward as the motor sits I won't even have to pocket it to clear which is good news.

Yes those tires are huge and they look sick on a camaro. Those engine mounts where pretty easy to make and it was Rokcrln's idea to do the I-beam deal so I give him credit.
