Re: Project "Funky Monkey"
Looks like it opens about like mine Brian.I like it and if you need it higher you can take the struts loose and get the cheerleader to hold it up!

Re: Project "Funky Monkey"
Nate thinks I must have a defective strut. He is sending new ones. I hope those work.
other good new I believe I have worked up a deal to sell the other frame from under the 68. I got a warning from my HOA that I have to move it within 10 days. AND today I got some new 67 triplus fenders to mount my new Slosh Tubz to. Now I just need the time to get all of this stuff done.

Re: Project "Funky Monkey"
Brian let me know how the quality of those Tri-Plus fenders are. I might be going that direction as well instead of tying to fix mine.

Re: Project "Funky Monkey"
Brian, make sure to check the crown of the fender to the hood. The repop fenders I got for the 67 didn't have the same crown, it was more flat, just my 2 cents....Jim

Re: Project "Funky Monkey"
Very clean install of the hinges and firewall shave. Sorry to hear about the issue with the struts. I've been thinking about designing some hinges for my truck. Keep up the progress.

Re: Project "Funky Monkey"
They didn't match up too well in the front. I am just going to use my factory fenders for the Slosh Tubz. here are a few pics.

Re: Project "Funky Monkey"
I do have some good news... I have the motor, inside the cab and the rear all wired up and ready to go. After I get the fenders and tubz installed I will be able to run the front lights and the wiring will be complete!

Re: Project "Funky Monkey"
sneak peak... one Slosh tub kinda in. I love the way they look. very smooth and clean. I did an ok job cutting the fender. it made me really nervous cutting that out. its bot perfect but I hope it will work. tI didn't realize I couldn't run my factory battery tray. so that's going to set me back a little more. being the noob I am this seems to be a bit of a challenge. hopefully I can find an easy solution for this. I was thinking battery in the back but I just finished all my wiring this weekend so I hate to pull all that back out and rerun it back down the frame to the rear. any help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Project "Funky Monkey"
LOOKS KILLER ...as far as the battery ?? they look so much better hidden in the back ! maybe one of the kinetic batteries that are much much smaller ?

Re: Project "Funky Monkey"
I may just go with a rear battery. The tub has a little gangster lean to it in the pic... I hadn't bolted up the bottom of the fender yet. Well now on to the drivers side.

Re: Project "Funky Monkey"
They do have somewhat of a lean to them, because of how the tire cambers when fully dumped

Re: Project "Funky Monkey"
I ordered some from nate at porterbuilt and I failed to mention I had a late model powerstering pump. So we have to order another set. I would much rather use something clean than trying to weld those two together.

Re: Project "Funky Monkey"
Brian - you planning to paint this truck, or stay with the red? The paint looks good now, but just curious.

Re: Project "Funky Monkey"
I will be painting it. Yea from far away the paint looks good. But when you get up close to it there are a ton of things wrong with it. I will prob stay with the same color.

Re: Project "Funky Monkey"
I just reqd from start to here. For a rookie you have done an amazing job. The dark blue you mentioned in the beggining should look reallly nice. Wheels were a real nice choice. keep it up
