Re: 72 Suburban Build

It rides very nice. I need to do some work on the camber/toe in/alignment still. My friend runs the auto hobby shop on the base so I'm going to see if he can open it up for me tomorrow so I can use all of their cool equipment to do it. I'll probably put it up on the lift and check a bunch of bolts too. I just noticed a drip off of the master cylinder so i need to fix that today also. Other than the drip from the master cylinder (which is inside the cab) there are no leaks from anything...so far.

Re: 72 Suburban Build

Wow!

Very cool Suburban.

I have a question for you....

I also bought the Scott's Hotrod indash master cylinder/booster setup. How hard was it to install and route the brake lines? Didn't see any pictures of that part in the build.

Thanks for sharing your build with us. I looks killer!

Hope to get my 4x4 body work done one of these days!

I'll try to snap some pics tomorrow of how I did the brake lines. The best decision I made was tossing the master cylinder that he sell onto my shelf for a future project and i ordered the universal Corvette master cylinder from speedway. Its the same thing but it has ports on both sides of the master cylinder which gave me more options for what I could do with the lines. I didn't really have any room between the firewall and the master cylinder to do anything.

Got the beast aligned today and snapped a couple pictures on the ride home. Here is a short video clip to prove it moves on its own...

I really wish I could but I don't think I'll make it. This week has been pretty crappy and I need to work late. Hopefully we can get together at another event before you go.

Took the Burb to a little local car show. It was a HUGE hit! Lots of compliments and questions.

Just read the whole thread beginning to end. Love your style and wish I had 1/10th the metal skill to get that done. Heck I would be happy just getting rid of my rust....
