Re: 60-66 Tire/Wheel Pics

Not really. Went to set doghouse on and lower sheet metal made contact with upper bag/arm mounts. Could cut but rather sell my nice parts. I'm committed, if it has gone this far lay it out. I will fab some inners, rear tubs or like. Just got it on ground. New tko 600 trans to replace t5. This is ride height.

Did you have to trim any sheet metal to fit the rear wheels in there? Very nice stance/tire/wheel combo!

Not really. The inner tubs have a rub spot 1/4" x 3" long on the bubble, from side to side shift. I did cut arch for full drop yet so far don't see that it was needed.

Hood? I don't have new trans yet! Figure if I were to order new trans someone would call for job. Yep back to work. No more screwing around. New Porterbuilt hinges needed.

sixTsix,

Nice choice! I'm a big fan of the slots myself.

How wide are your rims? I assume they are 15".

Going with black walls or raised white letters?

Mine are from a Jeep Wagoneer and you can see minor differences.

I got my slots for CHEAP. Otherwise I'd get the Salt Flats. Love that look. What size rim and tire is that on yours?

Re: 60-66 Tire/Wheel Pics

That's a 295/45/18 on 18x9.5 Fronts are 245/45/18 on 18 × 8. Watched Trucks and their F100 is running same rear tiresults little widerwider fronts.
Guy down the street had a 65 that got wrecked but would not get rid of 15x10s

What front end mods did you have done? Can you keep the inner fenders at ride height? For the front wheel BS, did the 4.5" work out to be the best choice you think? Asking because I'm in the market and will obviously measure but nice to see something similar. I came out the same as you in the rear for BS, but I'm going with a 275 back there I think.

I'm starting to like the 18" all around better than me thinking I might do 20/18 offset or 20/20. Looks great LVPhoto's!

Re: 60-66 Tire/Wheel Pics

I just got the Porterbuilt crossmember in. The inners would have to be trimmed to clear bag mount/ upper arm mount. As for turning I would think it might be problem. I did use drop spindles so if you didn't want ride height so low...I bought rims as standard offset, still cost me custom price. The rear is a 70s 1.5" wider.
20s all round same size so you can rotate. I went for 28" tire for 3.73 gears and overdrive to get 2200rpm at 75

You should probably get shorter valve stems put in when you get tires mounted.

Re: 60-66 Tire/Wheel Pics

i had the 3" stainless trim rings until i broke the rear end last month. i pulled over to a parking lot and left the truck 20 min. came back to one missing. so my buddy Alan gave me a set of the 1 1/2" stainless trim rings and i like them better. i think it shows off the rim nicer.

Well It will either be Cooper Corbras or BF TA ...Raised letters all the way around. I am still going back and forth on size though. 255/70 or 255/60. well I guess ill find out this week hahaha...

I've always love slots. What my pops always ran on his rides so it was a no brainer decision ya know. I'm not sure what brand mine are. The only markings I have found is the size and weight capacity stamped on the back. I do know they came off a 70 c10, so I can imagine from the way they look that they are era correct.
They are 15x7, 3 3/4 BS. I'm also not going for mirror finish either. I'm going for the semi gloss finished like they were new.

Regaurdless I'm very excited I found them in 6 lug in a 15x7 for a ok price..instead of the more common 15x8.5 or 15x10 in six lug. Best part is these have basically zero curb rash so I got a good deal. Soon as I have them mounted I snap some pics.
