Thanks Mike! The build is getting fun again knowing this should be the last time installing the sheet metal. Your truck is coming together really nice. I still need to order the front header and cross members to convert my bed to wood. So I am not going to be able to hang the bed sides for a little bit but still have plenty to do.

Re: Started my first frame off - 72 SWB LS1, 6-spd manual

I'm envious of the wood bed upgrade. I wish I would have had the coinage to do that mod to mine.
I had a salvageable steel floor so I went with it.

I really didn't have the cash to do it right now (I'm still trying to recoup from paint) but my original header for the bed was dented up really good. I figured if I have to purchase a new one this is the time to make the switch.

Your right about the red. I sometimes catch myself in a lawn chair with a cold refreshment starring at it.

Installed hood hinges and hood latch. I'm glad I PC them black.

The grill is loosely bolted in. I am waiting to install the hood before I secure the front clip.

I built a stand to hold my bed sides and started undercoating my wheel wells. I wish I would have under coated them before paint but it worked out.

I pulled the left fender back off to realign the drivers side door and install the door latches. I wasn't happy with the gaps. I'm really glad I had one of my buddy's over to help.👍

Thanks Mike and Keith👍 Finally got the hood on. I'm hoping to finish with the front clip this weekend. I have more adjusting to do. The sheet metal never seems to go back on the same way 😁. Here's a couple more pics.

Wow, this project has come a long way since I last saw. Question, why do you wish you under coated before paint?
