Re: Project: 1967 C10 Small Window

Since I have ceramic coated headers...is it best to put on the stock manifolds for the engine break in?..........you know what that means

Yeah that's what all the cam companies suggest. Break in the cam with the stock manifolds, the break in process produces to much heat for ceramic coated headers. Good luck with the break in.

Re: Project: 1967 C10 Small Window

Alright, I had found a set of old headers to use for the break in so that I didn't damage our ceramic coated pair. Also, my brother welded up a couple of mufflers for the break in. Also installed a tach temporarily.

Had some issues with getting it to stay idling for a while. It would start up really nice then just lose the spark. After eventually hot wiring the coil straight to the battery, it worked great.....other than the old starter that will have to be replaced. Still have to sort out either bad wiring or whatever it is that's causing it to lose the spark.

Still working on uploading a couple of vids!

Thanks a lot! Sweet I'll have to come and check it out this week! I can't believe I still haven't seen it after all this time.

The brakes are done!! Lines are bent and everything's been bled starting with bench bleeding the master cylinder. The driveshaft is going in tomorrow.....you know what that means.

Also got a pic with the face on that I thought looked cool.
