Re: Surf Blue
I'll have some more pics to post in a few days of the brake upgrade I ordered. I got some drilled and slotted rotors, dual piston Wilwood calipers, and steel braided hoses that I'm waiting on.

Hey Danny,
I just took a look at the entire build and you have done a fantastic job. It is hard to beleive we were next door neighbors at one time. It was good seeing you again and keep up the good work. Kevin

Re: Surf Blue
Got a little more done. I finally got my brake upgrade which consisted of Wilwood D52 calipers, steel braided hoses, and drilled and slotted rotors. The install went pretty smooth especially since it was all direct OEM replacement parts.
I've got a few issues that I'm not real happy with that came from some decisions I made 3 years ago on this truck and the time has come to have them addressed. First off I ordered some dual electric fans with a nice aluminum fan shroud from a place called Entropy radiator. These are going to replace the current single Corvette elec. fan that I have now. I'll post pics when I get it all installed. Since I'm changing the fan and shroud I'm getting away from the zip-tie mounting things that some of that stuff came with. I decided to make a permanent mount for my trans. cooler as well since it used those zip-tie things also. Pic enclosed. The engine swap I've been talking about is closer than ever and may become a reality real soon. Leaning a big block of some sorts ,but still unsure as to which one I'm going to do yet. That's all for now I'll post more when I get more done.

Re: Surf Blue
Big block? I thought you were going to go with an LS motor? If you want big block power you can get it with a big c.i. LS small block. Get the iron LSX sportsman block and 454ci is no problem... with something like 500ci being the high end.

Re: Surf Blue
The LS motor was one of the choices I was considering but the big block seems to be the easiest way for me to go.

Re: Surf Blue
I REALLY like the stock grille on your truck!
Super clean. I'm also watching your "brake issue" thread.

Re: Surf Blue
Finished the fan and grille install ,still have some small detail stuff to do on the grille (paint rivets) but for the most part it's done. I wish I would have wired my fans up with a thermoswitch a long time ago , it's way more effecient than the way I had them wired up previously. I haven't had time to re-plumb the brake lines yet ,I think I'm going to order a nice MC and then plumb them. That's all for now enjoy the pics.
