Yep, $150 for the fans. Retail for $365.
I need some 4 core radiator brackets (upper and lower) for the Griffin crossflow I am planning on. Got any?

Re: PROJECT "Father/Son" C-20 Rolling Chassis Build

Quick update:
1. Finished welding up plate for DBW gas pedal
2. Checked fit of SSR exhaust manifolds - with C20 frame so fat on top I needed to clearance a little on the passenger side. They will now be taken locally for ceramic coating.
3. Had fuel injectors cleaned, rebuilt and tested by Dr. Injector. Good thing too cause when I pulled them there was gas still in fuel rails - 4 year old nasty stuff. Squirted carb cleaner in, swished around and blew out with airgun.
4. Opened up hole in firewall for the new AAW classic update fuse block. This kit is sooooo nice.
5. Purchased stock AC vents (center and 2 ball vents) and 4 core radiator hold downs.

Great to see progress !!!

Looks like u are getting one step closer to fire ....

Sorry, all my parts consist of only the "dark side" 60-66 stuff, but looks like those are on their way.

Great Job !

Well, things are moving at a slow pace...due to life getting in the way and other interests - such as the son wanting to build a SpecE30 (pics below), getting a dog, and having a girlfriend. But hope remains to finish. Here's what I can show...

Cut holes for AC vents....it went well

Cut and driller floor for high hump cover

Test fit radiator, made 1/4" spacers to sit below upperbrackets.

Fabricated battery tray for passenger side...not finished. It's dangerous work cutting metal with sparks flying onto polyester shorts which burn... Like having roasted chestnuts....I retired these shorts and they remain pinned on the wall as reminder to remember safety always.....

Re: PROJECT "Father/Son" C-20 Rolling Chassis Build

Latest update..... Had the tilt column rebuilt by Kevin. Looks great!
Ordered booster bracket from CaptainFab, awesome piece!
Purchased 9" Dual diaphram booster with MC from Power Brake Exchange in San Jose. Setup looks great. This will create 250-300 psi added braking power over 11" booster.
Lastly, worked with a talented you man who did some digital renderings for a 2 tone paint scheme. I've printed these up and posted them around the garage just for that added inspiration to keep going and finish. Yes, it will get finished....Here's some pics....Please...no copy cats!

Re: PROJECT "Father/Son" C-20 Rolling Chassis Build

Pretty sharp !!!

Brakes look good .....

Did you ever think about hydroboost ??

We've done quite a few hydroboost setups at my shop ..... phenomenal upgrade !

That black 61 Parkwood had basically stock g body rotors and a cheap Chrome booster. We tried everything to get it to stop.

After adding the hydroboost, is was insane how much brake power was had.

Face through windshield was an understatement.

Also, im sure you must know by now .... ACC has been open for almost two years !!

Aren't you proud of me ??

Re: PROJECT "Father/Son" C-20 Rolling Chassis Build

Almost 13 years ago to this day this 67C20 project started. Over that period so much has happened. And not happened. With life and the project. Y'all know what I'm referring to. I did not want to see the project die and be sold off like so many are. I was determined to at the very least finish the wiring and hear it run. Better yet to drive it.
Now here's the amazing part. It was accomplished. With the help of John Oliveria and Rich Deans - owners of American Customs and Classics in Hollister CA.
They did great job! What's really cool to think about is the fact this project started 13 years ago with John working on the frame and air suspension in the back of a makeshift shop working after hours from his regular job. Today, he and Rich are running a thriving business. Enthusiasts from around the Bay Area are sending their cars and trucks to them. Their work is top notch.
So, the truck was at their shop for 3 weeks. Daily I received several text updates with pictures of the progress. I gave them a budget and they met it. I will share pictures of John's work in the coming days.
I cannot express how overwhelmed I was to hear the 2003 LQ9 come to life. Yes, the same motor that John and I did a road trip to get in Pomona CA in Jan 2009! When I picked up the truck July 27th I drove it around the parking lot. Talk about some history and going full circle.....

Let's pick things up on July 6th 2020.....Heading to ACC Hollister

Lots of us watched this build & it has been a while since updates so it might take a minute before people leave comments.

I saw the post yesterday & read it but the text within suggested there were more pics & story to follow so I was waiting for it....

Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.
It's like a highly skilled Morrocan sword fighter with a Damascus Steel Scimitar.....

Wow! OK. If you need immediate gratification you should post on Instagram or FB. I watch these build threads a lot, but don't always comment. I can tell people do the same on my build thread by the number of views. I like the comments and feedback, but I don't expect it. I was like the others above, I thought more was soon to follow.

Some pictures as it now sits. That's an 8 ft surfboard in the bed. Fits no problem. Maybe this truck should be named Longboard....

...as others have noted, I was awaiting more updates so held on commenting. None-the-less, the truck looks great! These projects take time, ...and often take many years to finish. The simple reality is ...life gets in the way.

Here are pictures of the AAW Classic Update Kit being installed. Starting up front with the headlights. Preparing the electric fans. Tying in the thinned LQ9 harness and extending the wiring on OBDII port to mount inside the cab, under the dash, so it can communicate to the Dakota Digital VHX dash
